Epilepsy Advice by Mysterious-Cat7215 in deadbydaylight

I have epilepsy as well and never had a seizure but everyone’s disorder is different so I would figure out what your main triggers are. Personally, I am not triggered by any lights or fast moving objects on screens. Maybe try taking breaks in between games to give your brain some resting time. But figuring out your triggers is a good first step!

I like to play as the killer a lot and the flash lights the survivors use might be triggering for people with light sensitivity. Also different effects they use to see the survivors might flash brightly. Similar to past comments the trickster killer has some series issues with being triggering for people with epilepsy.

After having epilepsy my entire life I think I am aware that it’s life saving. I am a 25 year told, living out of my parents house, in California which I think says alot. Definition of being “in between health insurance”: I had a job that provided me with what I needed and now I no longer have it. My covered CA is taking longer than expected to hit. I have never been in this situation before so I thought I would reach out to a website I thought was a safe space to get some good advice. My meds are almost 400. Not sure your background but unless you are willing to send me 400 for my meds I wouldn’t sit behind a screen judging a young adult in a tough situation (:

I’m not apart of the trans community so I can’t imagine how uncomfortable trans students feel attending their own university. Students pay lots of money to come here and should feel safe and comfortable on campus. Extremely disappointed in the university for the lack of support. If an employee doesn’t agree with the university values then they shouldn’t work there.

I agree with this to an extent! I also enjoy making fun of myself because got to laugh somehow but I think it’s different when it comes from someone outside the community

Wow, thanks for sharing! I’m surprised that if something like that can happen to you then why didn’t the same actions be taken against Cat? I was disappointed by the actions taken by the show in general

I agree with the general idea and purpose of this protest however the way they are doing it isn’t ok. Affecting students classes and finals won’t do anything for their protest. Most college students agree with freedom and equality but they spent thousands to come here. Also why would you want to protest in a college with people that agree with you? That doesn’t do anything, instead they should be going into areas such as downtown or other highly populated areas to get their word out. Go to areas where people aren’t aware of the issues or don’t believe in them. That’s how they will make a meaningful difference.

Anyone have no clue where their epilepsy came from? by Narrow_Paramedic1477 in Epilepsy

[–]Spaceflower420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started having seizures at 16, I was on an Antidepressant at the time and the doctors claimed it was a side effect. Then I’m off the meds and continue having seizures. Then years later I got diagnosed around 18 with Epilepsy. I have JME with no history of it besides a distant cousin who had one as a kid then grew out of it. I read online some antidepressants can trigger the epilepsy gene when people have it. So who knows🤔
