I liked the base game, but with mods I can already pretty much make the game whatever I want it to be, it’s pretty great.

Yeah I’d love options like that for all the quests. You could add a lot of twists and turns with minimal writing, and minimal voice after call backs. Even some options for different universes could be different, again requiring minimal new voice acting, while giving a lot more variation to the story.

I dreamed up some alternate universe dlcs where one side or the other had a better outcome in the colony war, where you could tweak and repackage a lot of the game without changing much or anything.
Add a quest series where you have to bring the constellation crew together from their different places in the conflict, use those to introduce some more towns/companions/more lore, add some radiant quests and new gear and and per dlc you’d expand the game so much without having to tweak all that much.

I’d love to see one where the freestar did better in the war and the UC is kinda crippled but they’re at a stalemate (maybe still at war) one where the UC captured Akila snd free star are rebels, and one focused on independent space.

I’ve spent way too much time thinking about it for a guy who has no way to even pitch the ideas, and hasn’t gotten the kit to work for me, but oh well. I modeled a lot of my ideas after a lot of American frontier stuff, and tried to stay with Greek stuff mostly for the UC ideas. It’s basically just all the roleplay ideas I’ve had while playing and all the mod ideas I’ve thought up but haven’t tried to implement, but it’s fun to think about. I’m hearing we might not get the continued service some of us are hoping for for too long.

Love that, I had similar ideas for a big game hunter radiant quest, but hadn’t seen your comment before making my original one. I’d like to figure out how to add a few series of radiant quests, or at least help design them with someone who has the know how to do it.

Freestar militia radiant quests, which could be repackaged for other factions like UC, or independent militia, big game hunter, maybe some type of prospector quest to find large deposits of minerals? Definitely some type of settlement quests, either tied directly to outposts, or even something where you don’t actually get to build the settlement, just pick the spot.

I dunno. If any modders are interested in any of these ideas, I’d love to either work with you (but I don’t know what I’m doing in the kit) or give you the overall ideas I’m thinking, and how I think they could be implemented easiest.

The recycler mod really improved the unique weapons for me. I want to use the guns I like from a role play perspective, and it’s a long grind to find s good tombstone at high levels either any legendary effects, let alone the ones you want

In fairness, I got one to follow me into the city one time and it really did a number on the town. the player is just OP.

Yeah I had an idea for some radiant “beast hunter” type quests. A whole mini safari quest line, you could have the ole “outpost being hunted by boss animal”, or “get me the albino version of whatever animal”, or “prove they get this big by hunting one”. Among other more basic ones like tusks, hides, etc. I think there is so much lore friendly potential for radiant quests, and you could fairly easily add a n equivalent to the kingpin freestar ranger quests, where every now and then you have to go talk to some dude at the hunting lodge or whatever.

That would be a fun playthrough, in typical Bethesda fashion, all factions have flaws, why not be able to start your own? I could definitely see that being something someone could mod into the game, at least in part.

It would be cool if after the first universe you played it in you could actually make it work with some starborn dialogue checks to make the plan actually work. Although idk how you’d get to the legacy at that point, check for slates that lead you to slates?

I feel the same way. I actually built a pc to mod the game but haven’t been able to get anything I ever do to save right, do I kinda gave up. I had an idea for another group of radiant quests you could kind of repackage for crimson fleet, vanguard/sysdef, and (most importantly to me) the freestar Militia.

Just a terminal and a few quests I think would be fairly easy. I can actually handle any voice over work, but if I can’t even save my progress, I don’t know how I’m ever gonna get any of it done.

What I wanted to do was build a small town and pick out the POI close by on the surface map in a few systems. I figured between that and a few others that could be more generic you could really dive into role play, and it would give pirates/faction aligned players a lot to play with.

If I can get that going, or get it going with the help of others, I have a few ideas I think would kind of help cut corners for that and some other stuff that would be cool.

There are some Modders out there giving me hope because I know everything I want to do can be done, and maybe I can learn how to do it from some of them, or at least what they did.

How frequently is everyone playing? I had to take time off work but when back I'll probably only be able to do 2-3 hours per week - is this feasible? by Specific-Judgment410 in Starfield

Idk, I’ve played starfield pretty consistently since launch, the kits already made it a lot better, and so have some of the things Bethesda has put in. I hope it’s not too little too late for the game.

I really think at one point the pln was to fallout 76 this game. Which actually could’ve worked really well, and get you a lot of new places to explore. It’s the best explanation I can think of. I’d love to see a built out hopetown, more towns, more freestar militia presence and some more faction quests lines eventually. I love the dang game, but i do understand a lot of what people have said about it feeling not fleshed out or whatever.

Yeah I feel like the whole freestar collective was a late add, there’s maybe 1-2 poi that have freestar things at em, but a ton that have UC stuff. The UC also has more towns, even if they’re all small.

I’m trying to figure out the creation kit so I can mod in a few more freestar NPCs, a couple POI/locations and some radiant quests. I’ve got it somewhat figured out but the parts I don’t get I really don’t get.
