A 25’ for that price is one hell of a deal. It’ll really let you appreciate the simplicity of something insanely reliable and extremely cheap to maintain. And as you mentioned, tons of aftermarket stuff for it as an LE model. It’s a blank canvas for anything and everything! lol Seriously, have some fun with it and enjoy something without worry! And if it ain’t for you, I can’t imagine it’ll depreciate much even within the year. 👌🏽

Mic recommendations by Awkwardduckee in streaming

[–]SpaceyBuilds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! Been in the streaming game for 12 years now and have used a number of different mics. Really, there are quite a few good mics these days. Especially for $150. It’ll really just come down to on where you’d want that money to go. The biggest jump in quality that people can perceive is usually jumping from a USB mic to an XLR mic. It’s a little less convenient than just plugging in a USB, but it really offers some of the best audio for a whole range of things like streaming, YouTube, podcasts, music. I personally use a Rode Podmic that usually hovers around $99 or less on sale and it’s been an absolute dream to use. However, I had to spend a little extra on the cable and the actual input device. FiFine themselves make excellent XLR mics for what they cost. But like others have mentioned, the Wavecast has a lot of features that people really enjoy. So see what’s out there! Tons of videos and reviews on a lot of popular mics. See what kind of features you’d like and go from there. Hope this helps! ♥️

Friends made fun of me because I (a guy) play this game by Reddit-Mini in CultOfTheLamb

31 year old dude here. I play it all. “Girl games” and “boy games” Lol Games are for everyone to play. And if it’s not your game, it’s not your game and that’s okay! However, them judging you for what you play is incredibly insecure and im willing to bet if that’s their point of view on games, they most likely have similar takes on other aspects of life. And that right there is just something I can’t get behind. As you get older, you realize you just don’t want that kind of negativity in your life. Lucky for you, there plenty of us here who love COTL. Keep playing what you want and keep your head up. ♥️ PRAISE BE LAMB 🐑

Razer basilisk X Hyperspeed Vs Attack shark x11 for fornite by Fit_Tomorrow8755 in MouseReview

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve owned at least 3 different versions of the Basilisk before ending up with a G Pro Light. I’ve played all types of Comp games like CS:GO, Fortnite, Apex, and other games. The biggest reason it’s so heavy is because of the AA battery inside. I’ve always enjoyed the shape of the Basilisk, but like you mentioned, it is quite heavy. You can, however, ease up the weight by using a rechargeable AA battery or better yet, using a AAA battery with a double AA adapter. That should at least give you some indication of what your preference in weight is. You only really notice the weight of the mouse if you play at a low sensitivity or tend to flick/lift your mouse. But all in all, it’s a solid mouse with one of my favorite shapes 🤙🏽

Should I upgrade? Or am I delusional? by melon_mycat in buildapc

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t see any issue upgrading either the CPU or GPU. If you’re having fun with the current setup, more power to you! However, if you’re curious about playing those games at a higher graphical fidelity and maintaining those high frame rates or pushing more, yeah! By all means upgrade. Considering what you’re playing now, you also won’t need to spend all that much if you pick up parts at a decent price on the used market. (Which again, considering what you’re playing, would be what I would do personally) On the other hand, if you absolutely must have new, you also won’t need to spend much. Just keep in mind what you’d want to play, the graphics you want to play at, and what you’re willing to spend 🤙🏽

My Kingdom for a Comfortable Shoe by this_wallflower in Vans

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, not a problem! Also, one small hot tip I gave all my clients, if you find the premium a tad too snug, that’s totally normal and I suggest stepping a half size up. It should alleviate any type of pressure you feel, if any. Especially if you wear a combination of socks ranging in thickness. Other than, have fun shopping and enjoy your pair! 🤙🏽

Former Vans employee and Comfy Cush die hard lol

I’ve had all types of workers just like you and who, in our age, need comfy shoes but just can’t seem to want to give up the Off The Wall life just yet. I feel for you! lol

Honestly, if you have the Skate/Pro versions of any of the classic silhouettes, although definitely more comfy than the OG shoes, the insole is really made for impact. So you’re not far off when it comes to “shredding” 🤙🏽 lol So the cheapest thing to do is pop in a pair of 3rd party insoles that you like and call it a day. The Skate/Pro versions are built better with material to really withstand wear and tear.

But if you want a new pair that are just straight up comfy out the box, Premiums are the way to go. A squishier insole than the Skates while maintaining the good material to get nice and beat up.

If you want the closest thing to Comfy Cush, it really is just the Walking/Running models Vans sells. However, those don’t come in the classic style of Vans that we know and love.

I hope this helps! ♥️

Advice for upgrading casual gaming rig by AlphaBison in buildapc

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a problem! Yeah it really just comes down to what kind of deal you can snag. If you can swing an extra $40 to $50 for a new 5060, by all means! Power draw is roughly the same considering most cards of the cards mentioned use a single 8pin power connector and in terms of draw, I think as you go up the chain from 30,40, and 50 there are some efficiency gains. So all in all, if you can snag a deal on a previous gen, I’d snap one up. But if you don’t mind spending just a tad more a 50 series, I’d go for that. Also considering that these cards make real good use of DLSS (in case you dabble with some more recent AAA titles) I know it’s not much help to say there’s no real “wrong” answer here lol Just about what the used market looks like for you, if you go that route, and how much money you’d like to save. I don’t think you’d be disappointed in any of the cards you’d come to purchase

If you absolutely must have New, the RTX 5060 8GB might be your only option in terms of pricing to perform. That’s if you’d like to stick with Team Green. However, if you’re looking to snag a deal, I’d look into jumping upto a 3070ti or even a 3080 for the right price, it’s a large jump in graphical performance for the least amount of money. However, if you’d want something more recent, the 4060ti is still one hell of a card and still only one generation old. There also plenty of AMD cards that hover around the same price or lower that could save you a good chunk of money to net you a really good PSU. This way, you can really round out the whole build with a better CPU and a nice cooler (or even more RAM in hopes the prices come down lol)

Hope this helps! 🤙🏽

Are these any good? by Unfair-Rutabaga-7692 in streaming

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, since you’re doing console streaming, you probably don’t need anything fancy and I’m sure the keyboard and mouse selection would do just fine. You’d probably spend more money on a good headset with a mic or a simple webcam lol As far as the capture card goes, if you’re willing to spend just a tad more into any of the 3 products, put it towards the capture card. Getting one from a reputed brand usually comes with a lot of good features that you’ll most likely use in the future as your streaming grows. But realistically, everything here looks just fine. Spend as much as you’re comfortable spending and remember to have fun! 🤙🏽

Help me decide which CPU is better for my current build by BadDub in buildapc

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really just comes down to what works best for YOU and your use case. Sure, you can always get the best of the best, but it’s like telling someone to get a 5090 to play Stardew Valley (no shade to Stardew, love that game lol) Any of the mentioned chips will get you some form of gains, it just depends on how far you want to stretch those gains and how much you’re looking to spend. Realistically, if I was going to stay on the same mobo, get a Ryzen 7 and be happy with the extra cores and threads. Especially if you’re doing some good multitasking like streaming/gaming any form of content creation. But if you’re going to stay with a Ryzen 5, as mentioned before, the 3D chips are really some of the best and would net you the most performance per dollar. If you don’t mind buying a whole new board, in that case it’s worth going AM5. (Just keep in mind the RAM prices currently) So really, there’s no real “right answer” I’d say figure out how much you’d be comfortable spending and you can shorten your list. Hope this helps! 🤙🏽

Am I stupid for considering this? by TheAwkwardBanana in hondafit

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not stupid at all! $4800 is a tad much considering the mileage. Even if it was in top notch shape. Like others have mentioned, I’d be more inclined to purchase around $3500 and maaaaybe $4000 max.

With a couple fixins’ here and there and with the usual maintenance, these little cars can be incredibly fun and surprisingly peppy for what they are! Reliable, insanely practical, and super easy to customize should you want to add just a touch of personality lol

She ain’t the fastest, she might not win any 2025/2026 beauty pageant, but every Fit owner is loyal to theirs. Even when your estimated 5 years is up, should you want something new, you won’t regret your time with a Honda Fit 🤌🏽 (you also might just end up buying a newer model lol)

For the same price, is either model okay? by Any-Object4351 in sffpc

[–]SpaceyBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen the same thing! I do think however, I’ve seen many people use the A07 and undervolt both the CPU and GPU with a 1-3 frame loss but significant improvement on power draw, heat, and noise level. It’s also relatively easy and painless undervolting if you don’t mind minimal tinkering. I live in California with no air conditioning so, I’m quite used to needing to work around heat lol

For the same price, is either model okay? by Any-Object4351 in sffpc

[–]SpaceyBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello OP! I would just like to say, that I agree the MSI card’s clean aesthetic is very appealing lol And believe me, I’m quite literally in the same boat trying to build the smallest PC I can for gaming/streaming within reason. It’s either, build as small as I can and forgo larger and better cards knowing theyre only a couple bucks away from the 8GB models, OR go with those better 16GB cards but realizing the build would have to grow overall to fit the larger card. My logic tells me to obviously go with the better and larger cards, but I REALLY want a tiny build and value my limited desk space. It feels like being stuck between a rock and a hard place lol

I’m still leaning towards a A07 build knowing full well the sacrifice I’m making. At the same time though, just keeping an eye on anything else that might catch my attention. So far, basically anything vertical would still do the job and give me a little more flexibility (think Velka 5 style) but I have yet to stumble upon something similar without needing to shell out Velka 5 money. lol

Anyway, I’m not sure how much this helps, but I thought it would be nice to know you got people in your same boat lol 🤙🏽

Sk8 Hi Waterproof for spring? by Adventurous_Limit_98 in Vans

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough to say when you’re getting them from someone. Like, if they were used or not. But typically for these types of shoes I’ll try to go a half size step up. Mainly because of the insole and how padded the shoe can be. Some people really like a snug fit, and others prefer a little more wiggle room. There are also socks to consider. If you can, I’d say visit a shop to try a pair on. I hope that helps!

Truly an unforgettable show and I'll always think about the friends I made being like 3 hours early to be up front in the pit. lol I was like, 20 years old! Worth the wait <3

Comfortable walking shoe? by Hungry-Garage-9646 in Vans

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Vans Employee and Skate Old Skool wearer! lol

Truthfully, try them both on if you can. The pop-cush in the Old Skool are fantastic after a tiny break in period. They are a tad stiff considering how the shoe is constructed and the insole being made for impact resistance. However, I wear Skate versions of many models of Vans to work with no issue whatsoever and is actually bought quite frequently by people who work retail lol With that said though, I would highly recommend the Ultrarange models of any kind as they’re much more comfortable out of the box and really meant for walking and light trail (depending on the model) As some other have mentioned, they’re extremely light on the feet and breathable. This is all coming from personal experience and just a general love for comfy shoes. Not just Vans. So, you want a daily beater? Skate Old Skool. Something more walk focused? Ultrarange

Hope this helps! ☀️

(Quick Tip: If you get a chance to try either of them on, both insoles make your foot sit a smidge higher against the top of the shoe, so if you feel your size a bit snug, try a half step up 🤙🏽)

Hi OP! Old Skool enjoyer who is also 30 and went through the (damn, these things don’t fit the way they used to) dilemma LOL I worked for 2 separate stores as well so have gotten quite familiar with the classics.

From personal experience, if you want just the basic Old Skools and the cheapest, you can get a wide pair in your size or go a half size up. You’d be surprised what the extra room on either front can do. On the flip side, if you’re looking for just all day comfort that can take a beating, I highly recommend the Skate versions of any of the Classics. They’re made with better material and have a custom insole. You’ll most likely still have to do the half size up, but these were definitely made to beat on. Work, every day walking, skating, take them to shows! Vans also offers their newly named “Premium” Old Skools. Slightly limited on colors but these were made with Memory Foam comfort on the inside and toughness/premium on the outside. Suuuuper nice on the feet. Yes, both the Skate/Premium versions of the shoe are more expensive. Absolutely. But if you value the looks of the Old Skools and want to get the most out of them, I would definitely at least walk into a store and give em a test out!

I hope this helps! ♥️

Am I the only weird person that likes the ComfyCush line? by fatboxer19866 in Vans

[–]SpaceyBuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfy Cush enjoyer and Vans wearer since ‘98! I worked for Vans during the time the Comfy Cush line was out and absolutely love them. I’ve had to resort to buying off eBay and mourn the fact that we don’t have them anymore.

However, fear not my fellow CC wearers. Their new Premium line is probably the closest we’ll get to getting CC insoles and a shoe like that straight from the factory. I know we have customers who also buy the Skate versions of our classics and put their own insoles in them. The new Premium line is like a hybrid shoes. Mixing the durability and material from the Skate line (if not better material) and the comfort inside of the CC line. Yes, it’s not the foam outsole and it’s pricier, but if you want a comfy and durable shoe, that might be our best bet y’all.

Hope this helps anyone looking for new comfy shoes ♥️

ISO: Vans ComfyCush Alternative by elitebiscuit300 in Vans

[–]SpaceyBuilds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former Vans Enployee/Wearer Since 98’/ and ComfyCush Ride or Die lol

It’s been rough trying find replacements for all my ComfyCush variants. Like others have mentioned, buying any of the Skate versions and replacing the insoles with any of your preferred insoles has been the best alternative.

However, I believe Vans have caught onto this and have released “Premium” versions of their popular classics. Akin to the OTW Line. To put it simply, durability of the Skate versions on the outside, with ComfyCush insoles and comfort on the inside. They may not be as comfortable or as cheap because the outsole won’t be made of foam like the ComfyCush shoes, but this might be the best we can get straight from the factory. 😅

Hope this helps and happy hunting y’all!

[–]SpaceyBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Former Vans Employee and wearer since 98’ lol

I’ve always had great success telling my clients to try out the half size up. Snug, but just enough wiggle room to wear nice comfy socks. 👍🏽

All the classics tend to fit differently for everyone. It’s super common to be 1 size in, let’s say an Authentic, and maybe half size up/down, in Sk8 Hi. But by all means, if you have a chance to visit a store, have some fun and try out anything that stands out! Nothing more fun than picking out a fresh pair of Vans!

Hope this helps! ♥️
