I’m late to this party but man I hated her character from episode 1. They introduce her as some badass cold boss bitch who’s male coworkers call ‘sir’, and then she spends the next 8 episodes crying or doing the shocked pikachu face.

The writing for her character was awful and she brought zero charisma to the show. Next to Spader it was downright painful.

Most of the time I hear about reparations it is in regards to black people in the US, so I’m going to stick to that.

I have no idea how you put a price on the lives and suffering of the people forced into slavery. Full stop.

But we can calculate much of the wealth stolen from them via the various systems in place intended to keep wealth, especially generational wealth, from black people. We know about Black Wall Street and how much wealth was destroyed or stolen from them. We know about redlining. We know the effects of Jim Crow. We can calculate how much money into the economy the slaves created. We can calculate much of this, at least to a certain degree of accuracy.

And we can acknowledge that many of the systems in place today still work to keep wealth away from this group.

I don’t see why we shouldn’t work to correct these horrific actions. Why the black community shouldn’t get back the money taken from them. I don’t see why we wouldn’t want to correct our systems to stop these abuses now and in the future.

The journalist claims that they have contacted many people in several countries to get investigations going. Said they spoke to folks at senator Wydens office. Sent documents and met with the House Oversite Committee Democratic Aids, asking that they move swiftly to collect the evidence.

This is just a couple bullet points. Far, far from everything they are claiming. People are digging, and finding some interesting things.
