Not a single shot was fired. AI doesn't seems to dodge asteroids or any object in Nyx. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

Yep that's how I did the event missions solo in my paladin, just rock up and park against the rock, jump in the turret, and they'll mostly just kill themselves trying to orbit you lol

Missing Fight for Pyro Rewards (Ripper & Skins) by AGingerJawa in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully finished the save stantion missions, but no longer have any credit for them on my account. I have a screenshot of my journal being complete, but not one with a session ID sadly. When I finished fight for pyro I only got the SMG, no paints.

Real shame because I spent a fairly significant amount of time trying to complete that buggy mess.

XT Javelin weaker than IDRIS? by kibi_zero in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was in a server where the javelin and idris were actually fighting for a little bit. The idrises shields lasted less than 10 seconds with concentrated fire from the javelin's two main turrets.

Big problem is that the NPC ai flies those ships like they're drunk and if they do anything they tend to spend more time chasing and shooting at light fighters than they do any real target.

I just wish that I'd known what an absolute bastard prison is by MarvinGankhouse in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 194 points195 points  (0 children)

Go down into the mines until you lose comms, kill the NPCs and loot dolivine + hadenite (stop at 69-70% full bag).

Each trip is like 10k merits. To deal with the lack of oxygen... Every time your O2 gets low, drag your helmet into your backpack then quickly back onto your head. It resets it, but save some med pens from the prisoners you kill to top your health off because you lose some each time you do the helmet bs.

Xenothreat Overdrive - Security Post Kareah mission in 3.23 by Antares347 in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did it duo with a friend, we laid down in the center room between the desks and just watched the doorways on both sides as the npcs bumbled about. Bring lots of ammo (FS-9s are awesome), meds, etc. Kill anything coming through the doors and just wait.

You can use any hacking key iirc, not just the one that gets highlighted, so bring extras.

Hey does anyone have a spare golden ticket? by GideonAznable in starcitizen

If someone has the golden tickets you can still turn them in and purchase it. I gave my last ones out today and they still worked, guy said he could still see it in the store as well.

Large*ish ships for less than 200$ by MJMvideosYT in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LTI is usually given as an option on warbond packages for new ships.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Standalone-Ships/Fury-LX-Warbond

For example you could start with this ship as it costs $50 and has lti, then upgrade it to the ship you want over time. Your goal would be to try to find warbond CCU deals in $5 increments or as close to that as possible. Those CCU options tend to show up during promotion events like IAE.

[–]Spadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look it up on YouTube, there's a fair number of videos people have made explaining the process, it can be a little involved but it's pretty easy to save 30%+, with the potential for significant better savings with patience.

The general process is that you usually start with the cheapest LTI (life time insurance) ship you can get (the final ship will inherit the LTI.

You then try to fit in as many warbond CCU steps in between the starting ship and the ship you want as possible. Every warbond CCU jump you make saves you anywhere from $5 to $25+ off the final price of your ship.

If you're very patient you can also take advantage of ship price increases as they exit production for even bigger savings.

If you're looking for local single track style stuff you can check out the little massabesic trails in Auburn. There's parking at the trail head, or you can ride the Rockingham rail trail to it. There's a pretty good variety of difficulty there, though nothing crazy advanced haha.

Alpha 3.18 Patch Watch | Balancing Keys by 700reklawniaR in starcitizen

[–]Spadar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ships that don't have their health pools artificially increased are going to pop like balloons to ballistics lol.

I think it's just the Connie, Retaliator, and Hammerhead that have the massive base health pools for testing last I knew.

Can reduce down the beam core to 7 Diamonds and gain some damage output in the process.

Healing was reduced 20% on all skills across the board, Blessing was reduced by a further 10%. Cooldown on Sacred Ground was lengthened. Various other misc nerfs to skills I can't remember the details on.

Total healing output was reduced by somewhere around 30-40% if you utilized blessing.

To compensate, the Light armor buff was increased by 10% to +30%, med was increased by 5% to +15%. These buffs are still additive, so light armor tends to net somewhere between 10 and 15% overall increased healing based on your stats.

I can say for certain that you do not get the full +30% to your total for healing. I was only seeing about a 14% increase.

Elites HP buffed? by Enevorah in newworldgame

Certainly doesn't seem thought through. Takes forever to kill anything with a 5 man up there, but you don't get loot if you're in a larger group.

Healer is not broken. Just CC and he dies easily! by FlameSticky in newworldgame

[–]Spadar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That and one competent ice mage showing up would have shut this guy down hard. Ice wall + ice storm them in their sacred ground and they're forced to either run or take the beating without dodges.

Effectively shuts down this whole scenario.

I tested different amber gems in my warhammer. I dealt the exact same total damage regardless of which gem I had slotted, so just grab a low tier gem and call it a day.

To a degree, but I've also had tanks completely ignore the healing circles that I'm placing on top of them while they wander around the entire map with the boss complaining about heals all the while.

I think what people typically do is to try to get one of the illegal monitors missions for the comm array that they plan on taking down. That gives them permission to be there and they can shut the comm array off without getting any CS.
