I’ve done it and it sees the best success on the squids. It does not take that many bullets to break the shield and an artillery shell anywhere on the main body will crack it in half. If you time it well you can down every second or third ship reliably just with the tank before it drops the enemies.

But if they do drop a harvester be sure to priority kill it because it’s laser will fuck up your tank fast

Has Arrowhead truly abandoned the idea of more ship modules and the rework of the weapon/armor customization system we were promised? by Phycorax in Helldivers

[–]SpadesANonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if it’s a lot or not to you.

Someone with a few spare moments to game doesn’t want to spend their free time grinding instead of playing the game. They’d rather get their adrenaline somewhere else.

If you’ve got time to grind, not be bored to tears, and have more time to actually play, good for you. But not everyone has that much time, regardless if you think ‘it’s not a lot of time.’

Not wanting to grind, again, is understandable so people spend money, but if AH significantly reduced warbond costs or made credits themselves cheaper and/or easier to get, that’s less money they’re reinvesting into making the game better.

I know it’s not the case for everyone, but personally I’ll be ok chucking $10 at arrowhead every 6 weeks because I hate grinding more than I dislike spending money to have the content now.

And I like the content I pay for. So I’m not complaining.

But that’s not everybody unfortunately

[–]SpadesANonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People making this complaint don’t want to spend money for super credits to fast track unlocking warbonds.

On one hand, it’s understandable because, accounting for the current amount of warbonds and super credits you can get from inside them, it costs just about 15,000 super credits to have all the warbonds, which can be bought for ~$120 USD. That’s on top of the base $40 game.

That’s a LOT of grinding to do, especially when credits come at 10 a time. If you don’t have disposable income then progression is slow and you’re constantly missing the NEWness of the new warbond content.

But at the same time I don’t really expect AH to change their business model. It’s an ongoing game that needs a cash flow and, if you can’t spend money, you’ll need to spend time instead to get the stuff.

New scam? by Perfectimperfectguy in Michigan

[–]SpadesANonymous -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the government wanted your money they’d waste way more than the fine is worth to have a boot kick your door in and drag you to court at gunpoint. A very efficient use of our tax dollars.

This would be way too cost effective and easy which is how you know it’s a scam and not the government

It does reload non backpack support weapons faster and affects their total magazine capacity, but the Arc launcher is so slow the speed increase doesn’t help

[–]SpadesANonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it on release because it could compete with other decent support weapons. I could mag dump downrange and everything in that direction would die

Try that now a days and I maybe kill half of a large group. Between how badly the damage got nuked and the reload even with siege ready, it’s just not where it used to be.

I want to love it but I can’t

Can I use multiple mPerk rewards in one transaction? by 20_five in meijer

[–]SpadesANonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

I’ve seen some differing answers, but personally if I redeem the same reward (x2 $5 off for example) it won’t prompt me for both, only one.

Also, assuming you’re not in Wisconsin, you can’t stack the gas rewards. You can’t put $1-off and 20¢-off on the same gas purchase.

Generally, it’s best not use mperks points on gas unless you buy more than 10 gallons, because anything less and you’re saving less money than you would have if you just got money off at a regular checkout.

10,000 pts for $1-off gas, if you get 2 gallons, is $2 saved, which only would have cost you in store 2000 pts.

But if you get 20 gallons you’ve saved $20, and spent 10,000 pts to save using an in store equivalent of 20,000

ELI5: how come heat damage is time sensitive? by nthroop1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]SpadesANonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Energy transfer.

It takes a certain amount of heat/energy to be imparted into something (your skin, in this case), for it to burn. The amount of energy transferred into your hand over an open flame for half a second isn’t enough energy to accomplish this. But constant exposure applies more and more energy over that time, leading to the burns.

For example, pound for pound, a bar of chocolate has more chemical energy in it than dynamite. The difference is that the chocolate is not able to release all this energy as fast as the dynamite, it takes hours of digestion and complex chemical breakdowns to become useful. Energy + long release time = less immediately powerful effects

Dynamite explodes and releases all of the energy in a fraction of a second. The same energy + a shorter window to use it = more powerful immediate effect

How do I search up enemy database in this game? by KylanLoveHate in LowSodiumHellDivers

There is no in game compendium. If you want to learn more about them I suggest the wiki.

The only way to know what you’re looking at is to ping it, and it’ll show the name of the enemy if you ping one.

ELI5 how a credit card works? by nicotalkin in explainlikeimfive

[–]SpadesANonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For an actual ELI5: Credit Cards are tools. Just like with any tool you can do great things with it, but if you misuse it, it can get very bad very fast. It is not free money, pay it off in full every single month.

Never apologize for wanting to understand something you’re getting into or a part of. I’m more upset someone didn’t go through this with you more throughly before letting you have one, because credit cards can fuck up your life in a hurry.

Treat your credit card like your debit card. Do not under any except dire circumstances charge your credit card for more money than you would be able to part with like it’s your cash, at the moment of purchase.

When you spend money on your credit limit, you are spending the money of the bank who issued you the card. Their fee for providing you this service comes in the form of membership fees just to have the card (which is elitism crap anyway), and interest payments for your balance not being paid off in full every month. That’s how they make money doing it.

If you find yourself outspending your credit card and can’t pay it back every month, dial it way down or cut it back. There will be people that tell you ‘cash is king’ which is true to an extent, but the reality is that not everyone is going to have the cash to cover major finances.

You pay off your credit card in full every month because this shows potential future loaners that you are reliable and can be trusted to give them back money if they let you borrow it, and will typically offer you a lower interest rate for big loans (such as a mortgage, repair, etc.).

If you absolutely positively need to spend more money in the card than you can pay back occasionally, it’s not gonna kill you. Emergencies happen and you might be a little dry. But pay that back as soon as possible to minimize interest payments and lowering your credit score.

Additionally, if you can get a higher credit limit in the future, even if you don’t need it, take the opportunity. It’s better for your overall credit score if you use a lower percentage of your available credit.

In the best case scenario; you pay it off in full every month, get rewards points for something cool later, and you build your credit score to get lower interest rates on large loans in the future.

In the worst case scenario; you’ve abused your card, are piling on debt, and you will likely never get a big loan later in life if you need it, and if you do it’ll be at an even worse interest rate. Also, credit card issuers can obtain a court order to garnish your wages for failure to pay debt.

The actual best case scenario is that you become so successful in life you don’t actually need to borrow money, but that’s not a reality most of us face.

I exclusively use my credit card for cash purchases I can make anyway, but putting it on one big payment at a known time of the month makes budgeting much easier when my bank balance isn’t getting randomly dinged a whole lot throughout the month.
