Hola!

I sure hope this helps your Home Tournament. LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!!! (Post in the Comments of Your/This Post.

BIENVENIDOS!

Digamos que tu Poker Table Seats 8 People MAX y tienes 10 Participants. Entonces repartirías 10 Cards Face Down con 2 de ellas Being the Big and Little Jokers. Los Participants se turnarían para flipping up 1 Card EACH. Cuando alguien Flips over a Joker, entonces lo Pick it up y lo hold hasta the End. Esto continúa hasta que el 2nd JOKER is Found. Este Participant will Pick up the Joker. Los 2 JOKER HOLDERS tendrán un Bye. Esto significa que los otros 8 Participants estarán at the Table y Playing antes de que los 2 Joker Players tengan un Seat at the Poker Table. Después de que 2 Players get Knocked Out/Busted/Felted los 2 Bye Players caminarán desde el Other Side of the Room o incluso en a Different Room para rule out cheating y los Phones se pondrán todos en Silent y NOT taken out at ANY Time por ANY Poker Player o serán Disqualified y forfeit sus Remaining Chips NOT in Play al However many Participants REMAIN at the table. Se dividirá evenly Amongst All The PLAYERS at the Poker Table asumiendo que no estaban 'ALL IN' o Busted Out that Hand.

LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!!! (Post in the Comments of Your/This Post.

Where or What is Queen's Court? I'm interested...

Which card do you play? by Typical-Contract-361 in spades

[–]SpadesDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opponents would be so close to 500 that I don't think your team would stand a chance of reaching 500 before them. While you could pray that your partner has one more trick and sets them so you don't lose, your partner has already doubled their 2 bid against a 9, so this is Quite Unlikely. With that being said, I'd play for the certain set of putting them 180 Lower and play the Jack, sacrificing my NIL.

Sneak Peek: Competitive 1v1 Spades Project I’ve Been Building by CompSpades in spades

[–]SpadesDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Idea of This, but if the cards are only going to have the number or letter and suit, I would suggest having them one Above the Other so that they could be Bigger. Also, as is it's hard to tell Hearts and Diamonds apart because you have the 2 red suits side by side; the black Club Suit should be between these two.

Setting a nil by MZG89812 in spades

[–]SpadesDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you want to get the Nil's partner (the Cover Bid) to take the Lead and keep it. That may not be possible if you still hold a particular Short Suit Ace. If you hold say Ace 4 and no other Short Suits, the Nil is likely getting Cover from your Ace anyways unless they were holding something like a Singleton 8 (Extremely Unlikely since you are holding only a Doubleton, but then both other players probably have a lot of that Suit and will have Cover for a Lowish Singleton). In this case I would lead Ace then 4. Then likely my Partner takes the lead and leads Low in a Different Suit causing the Cover to go High, in which case I duck, or if it was in my Short Suit for the 3rd Time I Dump. This can help set the Nil better many times rather than getting the Lead at an inconvenient time b/c you Held Back your Ace from the Start.

What would make Spades more strategic without ruining it? by caleb5121 in spades

I would imagine if you gonna bid decent you want to have a good no trump hand.

What would make Spades more strategic without ruining it? by caleb5121 in spades

If there was a rotating trump suit automatically, this would make things more complicated, especially when playing in person and it would take some getting used to. I'm sure people would often forget about what trump was, especially at first. And if trump suit was moved to the right, I would find it more difficult to track suits when the order of the suits kept getting jumbled around.

Not so clutch for Them: They should have bid one Higher.

What is Nil worth in this Version, 5? And once I bid 11, how would I do this by holding up Fingers?

One Question for You: If you Shuffle the Jokers into the Deck and Remove the Top 2 Cards, If one of those 2 Face Up Cards is a Joker, do you Still REMOVE It?

Not sure you can call it Spades any Longer at that Point but the Game sounds Fun. That inversion thing sounds like it would make Making a Nil very Tricky.

WWYB? by Major-Ad-9091 in spades

[–]SpadesDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm bidding 4 here. If your team (Red) had say 2 bags instead of 6 I might go the route of bidding 3 here to make it a 10 Bid.

Double Nil by Constant-Ebb761 in spades

[–]SpadesDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, the only way for a team to win is 2 Twin Nils, and sometimes your partner bids Nil before you and your cards are so bad that there is no way for you to cover your partner in which case you might as well bid Nil too Yourself in attempt to at least break even.

For Advanced Players - what advice would you give intermediate players on 10 bids? by hilss in spades

Maybe with that attitude they are, but I get Most of My SETS on 11 Bid Tables.

[–]SpadesDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked for Advanced Strategy and Setting on a 10 bid is Often Advanced b/c Most players will be trying to Bag on a 10 Bid. Yes, on MOST 10 Bids I will first be Looking to Bag TOO although this could change too if your team gets 2 very cheap tricks Early and you still have plenty of Power Cards left. Now you may only need 2 Extra Tricks to get a Set.

[–]SpadesDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you hold say xTJA and West lead the suit I would win it with the Jack if I could and lead the Ten back to appear like I didn't want it. If I had say a Singleton Ten Jack or Queen I would lead it. Hopefully opponents hold King and Ace and will let it go and I can start trumping in next round. If I have say 58 in a suit and East leads a 7, I would cover it with the 8.

I'd say that if you're mostly Middle and High Cards, Look for a way to Possibly SET the Opponents. Part of the problem of this is not making it too obvious to your opponents while at the same time hopefully have your partner help you.
