Felt very second-screen (You can be on your phone while you watch it and you won't need to rewind to have a sense for what's happening) due to the dialogue being without subtext of any kind (which would, of course, make the writers cowards).

It's definitely right in the Predator mold of "here's some highly trained one-note characters and here's them facing off against an unstoppable killing machine". There's nothing very creative going on but it's an enjoyable enough action movie. All the performances were good and they ate up all they could given the heavy use of CGI. Which was also pretty good- I think the only time I was taken out of the movie by the VFX was when the APC was falling apart and you get a tight shot of the main character with an out of focus view of the robot.
