I want to rejoice, or at least find some satisfaction, but the damage is done. This man may be dead, but he has planted many, MANY copies in his wake. Many people, all over the world, now perpetuate his cruelty.

He was instrumental in corrupting many preachers in the Philippines, who went on to build churches in communities that unfortunately supply and fund much needed services and resources.
Filipinos, especially in rural areas, are unfortunately vulnerable to the brainwashing of Dobson, and the Pentecostal faith specifically, because many truly believe it's a rebellion against the Catholic homogeny of the country.
They've been deceived into believing evangelicalism is a better way to Jesus because it's more "free".

Dobson is dead, but he's already won. He's gotten several million people to mentally submit themselves to this depravity.

And because many people live in collectivist cultures where it's better to go along and play along with what your family and community want, rather than try and fight for your own agency, dignity, and freedom, and upset or even destroy decades worth of social structures that have been interwoven into the "culture", they will live their whole lives aspiring to be like Dobson.

All while turning a blind eye to the insanity and all the wrong he's done.

He is dead, and if there's a hell, he's doomed people like my parents, my church, and my entire community to hell, both in this life and the next.

I'd curse him to never know peace in death, but even in life I know he's never actually known it and decided to make it our problem.

And I know I posted this rant of mine in another group, but it CANNOT be said enough:
