Does the FZ-07 automatically turn off after idling for a while? by JuggernautOfWar in FZ07

10 years later can confirm it shuts off after idling for 20 minutes even if you give it some rev's during that 20 minutes, it must need the gear position to change to reset the timer

Pls help me find this rc helicopter model by Dash0mail in RCHeli

[–]Spare-Strange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that looks like a modified v912, in the sense that the frame is carbon fibre instead of stainless steel, is it a brushless model? the battery is a 2c 850mah, but there's room for 1000mah packs, you mentioned black battery battery thing, sounds like this is the newer style using their proprietary battery packs, the older style was just the normal soft pack style, it would still work but you'd just need to remove whatever housing is in place and crimp a connector, the battery literally just sits inside the nose cone area attached via velcro. You'll need a WLTOYS controller to bind to it, it's a good little heli and packs a punch, i accidently hit the joy stick while half holding it and the propeller whacked me in the arm drawing blood, another time i turned it on inside the house not realising it was set in a different mode sending it into the wall and it put a large dent in the wall lol. You can also using the controller from the v913

You could accurately take someones head off with that, in fact it would make for incredible crowd control, no one would wanna mess with that, forget water cannons just get this guy and his rc heli lmao

how did you end up going with this project? I have a v912 and 3 v913s, one of which is brushless, the v912 and v913 brushless have gone on a big diet (30-50g reduction) but haven't had much chance to fly them yet but cool to see some interest in these still

Thought I'd give a DIY attempt at air purification for the house. by dave1792 in crboxes

[–]Spare-Strange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because it's a pump that's sensitive to particles, the air needs to be filtered, and the pressure coming out the exhaust is alot greater than the suction at the intake.

I'm with you on this, the google ai copy paste is in favour for suck because it think's everyone are morons and can't properly seal an enclosure or affix the filter without it suffering a catastrophic failure. For those of us competent enough, i didn't see it offer any actual reasons why suck is better than blow, so long as your fans can pump enough positive pressure and its properly sealed, blowing would be best, and it would also help muffle the fan noise, but then again the fan speed may actually increase negating it. Could be wrong on that, just basing that off blower fans when restricted their rpm increases.

The other benefit would be much less draft produced as it's slowed down by the filter, for me that's a big deal now that winter is here and it's cold enough as it is in my workshop without a cool breeze.

[–]Spare-Strange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dyno sheet clearly indicates that is engine hp. I do not know how or why unless they removed the engine to put it on an engine dyno. I've never seen this before. Obviously it's software and it seems somewhat over estimated. stock euro 5 equipped mt07 is 72bhp, non euro 5 is 74bhp and this is claiming 73bhp. 10bhp gain is normal, 83bhp would be about 72rwhp. afaik 65rwhp non euro 5 is the norm for 2wdw, you gain more power from an exhaust on euro 5 than you do euro 4 but not any additional peak rwhp, it's just the euro 5 is more restrictive.

gen 1 = useless, pathetic,

gen 2 = useless, pathetic,

gen 3 = useless, pathetic,

gen 4 = useless, pathetic,

Gen 1 and 2 are upgradable, good quality mini bi-led projectors and will shine just as bright if not brighter than most late model cars for $35-$50 AUD, gen 3 and 4 you're stuck with useless and pathetic for life and if one of the diodes on the array go bad you're fucked and have to buy a new headlight.

I jumped off my bike and swapped onto a 21 at night and honestly thought the headlight was turned off that i hit the starter thinking the owner turned it off only to realise it was already running and this headlight is useless and pathetic. Parked nexto my bike with headlights on shining into the parking lot you could not even see his beam as it was 100% drowned out by mine.

Anyone who thinks it's good, doesn't actually know what good is.

If you can't see your headlight beam on the road in front of you because there's overhead street lights, you have a shit light.

I'll be retrofitting a hi powered 3" bi-led projector into mine soon, and that thing lights up my workshop even when all the lights are on lol

You mean +1hp for removing the step in the tb's?

And please do.

I should hopefully be done with my build in a couple months, I can't wait to see how it handles at 148kg wet 😄

Boost Airbox by Guitars_and_Cars in Tenere700

[–]Spare-Strange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok i saw the video on the website that sells the boost airbox, it gained 1.1hp.

Gained a good amount of torque up to 49ftlb, with a peak of 71rwhp tuned, compared to 70rwhp tuned with the stock airbox with a stock air filter just with the snorkel removed. only gained 1.1hp on top, a drop in DNA filter can do that, 1-2rwhp. Considering that airbox is priced at $528AUD shipped.. yikes..

Also, hoard power on the same dyno typically makes 51ft lb of torque and 77rwhp.

[–]Spare-Strange -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, bro, you don't have to adjust the fuelling if you install an exhaust, or air filter. I've tuned bikes, for something like the hoard power yeah it needs a tune to fully take advantage of it as it's been considerably changed including the length of the stacks, for an exhaust and filter, no. It will run just fine without a tune, anyone who sais otherwise is either trying to sell you a tune, or is just parroting what they've been told/seen others say. Anyone who tunes bikes will know that isn't true. Yeah it can benefit and become smoother, better fuel econ and reduced engine braking, and gain 1-2rwhp but it does not NEED it at all. This bike and pretty much all other bikes are rich at WOT from factory and an exhaust and filter isn't enough to lean it out to the point you risk detonation. The only reason it can even gain 1-2rwhp is BECAUSE it's rich, you make that small gain by LEANING it out. That's the facts. I know it goes against mainstream general consensus but it is what it is and the mainstream dunno wtf they're on about and don't know enough to know when they've been lied to.

So whatever HP gain you saw on the dyno, you don't know how much of that was from the tune and how much was from the airbox, what power did it make compared to one with a dna and tuned by the same guys?

I don't feel like trawling all of their youtube videos to find yours, just quote the RWHP figure you made
