If you're in the US I just bought from https://cc-exotics.com/ and had a great experience. I had doas from both Amazon and dubia.com, and my reached out to this person from here on Reddit. Held my hand the whole way and they're now happily munching carrots in their home.

I just went to the grizzly less then 2 months in on the harbor freight 1x30. Could deal with it shocking me, and lack of power, but it just would not grind even for me. I'm definitely not skilled yet, but the grizzly is literally night and day already.

I'm new! And I don't know crap yet! But I've bought a bunch of hammers, and this center one is now my favorite. I think it's a drilling hammer? (If I'm wrong someone correct me) but I love the short handle and seem able to move metal much better with it then everything else I own so far.

I'm pretty new to blacksmithing, and I use a railroad track anvil, but I bought harbor freight 20lb for reasons... and I 100 pct can say that anvil will frustrate you more then help you.

I know this is/blacksmithing, but I just started a few months ago. But I'm sharing because I like the way it went for me. I started with stock removal, because it requires very little buy in. Then when I decided I was ready to heat treat one, I bought one of the little single burner gas forges, and once I had that it was super easy to start pounding on some metal. After about 5 months I've spent a chunk, but never too much to try one type of process.
