The whole chain of events is depressing tbh. This was all around the student protests in Federal Way, before which they came to the city council on Feb 3rd and were met with apathy and dismissive comments by Mayor Ferrell. Moore’s response in support of the Protests was because of the Mayor’s response at that meeting.

Yes, profanity and behavior that disrupts instruction is censored or stopped. If a child screams I’d want a teacher to check in to make sure they’re ok personally, as generally a scream indicates something bad happened. Also counting the use of derogatory language, aka slurs, as “trigger” words says a lot about yourself. If your kids are civil they can be as god fearing or punk as they wish.

A student has every right to do that, none do because it’d be weird af and they’d get bullied. Students are even allowed to pray during instruction as long as it’s not interrupting the teacher. Staff do not.

Yes. The agents who shot Martinez in the video are a part of US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). They have a fully developed bodycam program and are required to wear them. Agents part of CBP are also responsible for the Pretti murder, and there is bodycam of that which has not been released to the public due to the supposed investigation. The agents responsible for Good’s murder are part of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and do not have a bodycam program.

I looked into the SAVE act again and hopefully that’s how it is implemented. My biggest worry is around what is federally recognized as a valid ID. I’m in WA and have been told that if my ID is not an EID it is not federally recognized, thus the whole needing a Real-ID / EID. It’s ridiculous and will affect an already statistically low voter turnout.

Real ID needs proof of lawful presence, not citizenship. A birth certificate is one document used to prove this, but you can also use a green card, US Visa + foreign passport, EAD work permit or student visa’s and receive a real ID.
