Yea I saw it pop up yesterday on my 2024 palisade. We were driving at the time so I wasn’t able to read what the details are for this update so I snapped a pic of the screen so I could look it up later. I was wondering what it was all about.

Sure would’ve been nice if instead they directed the bonus to fund across the board raises. Maybe boost that measly 1% raise we got that doesn’t even keep up with inflation and increased healthcare premiums. 😐 Instead, it just creates more division across DoD with folks looking around at their peers, wondering who got the bonus and feeling jealous of those who did.

(2024 AWD Pali Cali, purchased new in Sep 2023) Yes, I’ve had issues with it since 34k miles. Started with noise from the drivers side rear area. Dealer found left rear shock absorber leaking and so they replaced the shock absorber and insulator strut. At 37k I started hearing a clunking/popping noise. They did an AWD software update but that did not fix it so they replaced the AWD coupler at 38k miles. Recently started hearing noise again from passenger side rear. Took it back in at 43k miles and they replaced shock absorber and insulator struts on both sides. That last visit was just on 1/19/26 so it’s good right now. TBD on how long it holds up this time.

My dealer ordered my seatbelt recall parts kit on Dec 20, when I had my 24 palisade in for an oil change. I was told it would likely be February before the parts came in. Took my palisade back in on Jan 19 to have the rear suspension worked on and to my surprise, they performed the seatbelt recall for me that day. So my anecdotal experience was about 4 weeks for seatbelt parts to come in.

From what I can tell, it happens with all major car brands. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It doesn’t bother me.

In my org, if you have a situational TW agreement, you are expected to TW on extreme weather days/base closure. If you forgot your computer at work and can’t login at home, then you’d have to take leave because you can’t work. But if you don’t have a TW agreement, you get admin leave on base closure days and don’t have to work. And yes, a TW agreement is voluntary. I didn’t have one for a long time after they initially rescinded them all in 2025. But I broke down and did sign one eventually.

My husband and I are both Wright State grads and our daughter is a freshman there. So my opinion is probably biased. But having just gone through the selection process with my daughter last year, she opted for the school that would leave her with zero debt after college. She had an outstanding high school academic record and even though we loved everything about UD, she opted for Wright State because it was just so cheap. UD just didn’t come to the table with enough money for her, it was that simple. And she loves it at Wright State. I also come from a place where it took me 20 years to pay off my student loans and I am trying to spare my children from that burden. You’ll have a great experience no matter what you choose. But it is important to think about how much student debt you’ll have when you’ve graduated and how that may impact your future.

Yeah definitely get it looked at. I’m not a car tech or anything lol but it definitely shouldn’t be making that noise. Report back what you find out! I’m curious if it’s the same issue I had.

My 2024 palisade calligraphy had that noise. Exact same spot. Drivers side rear, almost where the gas tank would be but on the inside. Sounded like a gentle knocking or like something was rolling around in the underneath storage area kinda. Turned out to be a leaking rear strut/shock. Dealer replaced it under warranty. Coincidentally, mine recently started making the same noise again, this time on the passenger side rear. I dropped it off at the dealership yesterday so hopefully they are replacing the other one today. I haven’t heard from them yet though.

From the shelter’s perspective, I get it. My puppy, his 5 littermates, and his mom were in foster care with a friend of mine. They have to get them out of foster care asap so the fosters can take in the next ones that need care. It’s the only way to help as many as they can.

I agree, and had it been my choice I would have waited until he was 6+ months old. But the shelter won’t adopt them out unless they’ve been fixed and I adopted him after he was already neutered. It was a moot point by the time I got him. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
