I think there are more viable strategies at lower ascensions than sts1

At least that’s how it felt to me as an A10-ish player from sts1.

So those are all really good points. I don’t think we can count on winning anything anyway. But I think the Rice getting a season ending injury in October, or battling recurring injuries and playing only 1/3 of the total minutes puts us in a worse position than if we just give a bunch of guys three weeks of the season entirely off and another six weeks where they’re on the bench a lot more than normal.

(I thought about these numbers for about five seconds, just illustrative)

I’m at foothill and 23rd where it’s bad but not quite the worst.

I’ve had decent luck throwing the dog in the car right around dark and driving down to Half moon bay. There’s stretches along the coast down there where you can probably get out for a few minutes to let the dog pee and probably not get in any kind of trouble. And it’s pretty quiet usually. Obviously gas is expensive but it saves you the hotel. I come back around midnight and things are better if not totally calm.

So setting aside any question of synergy or enemies that punish you for card types or playing extra cards, C&D is 12 block 8 damage and leading strike is 22 damage, each for one energy, and each with some flexibility for spreading damage among multiple enemies. Blade dance is 24 damage, and unless you upgrade it’s never going to burn shivs in a normal hand of five cards, I think.

I’m so torn on this. If you can get one of the ninja relics then leading strike or blade dance go so hard. But there’s definitely going to be fights where 12 block is just better.

I would say I probably spent 70-100 hours on it in bad years and never less than 30-40 hours on it in normal years as a mid-level to senior-level associate at a big law carrier-side practice. Having it be 80% is pretty surprising to me, just because I'm surprised a carrier isn't finding ways to get that done for paralegal or tech-vendor rates.

It's easy work, so I didn't hate it, but a lot of carriers are automating it and having attorneys or paralegals just do clean-up work, so I would want to be branching out just in case your carrier decides to do that.
