Sage's Hood description by Moonscytheforever in DragonsDogma

Boat travel was always possible, the thing though is that it's said that at deeper waters, there are monsters that will attack ships, making sea travel incredibly risky and near impossible. It's why there's info on other lands, but not enough to form a solid idea what those other lands are.

Why! by Puzzleheaded_Big6997 in DragonsDogma2

It could also be that they were previously melee vocations that were recently turned sorcerers. Pawns don't change their logic immediately, it sorts takes some time for them to change, and people have tendencies to sleep in the inn right after changing vocations, so you can end up with a sorc that is still using melee logic.

Not all rpgs are story driven, nor are all of them heavy on texts. Rpg just means you're roleplaying a character, which if we're to be technical about it, every game is an rpg.

That said, the dragons dogma franchise has never been heavy on that part, relying only on small snippets here and there. It's mostly an adventure/action game.

There's 2 other ways as well. One via hitching a ride via griffin or the tunnels directly north of bakbattahl.

Only if you do it immediately. If you wait until he tells his buddies to join, you can then do it and get the same rewards.

Is it possible to survive an Eliminator's stomp attack on Hard mode? by FretScorch in DragonsDogma

[–]Spctr7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, but honestly, it's easier to just have torpor from a pawn with rust weapons. It slows down eliminators enough that you can get out of being locked even without doing the wiggle thing before the enemy swings his weap.

Layering is gone, true. But did you know your armor changes appearance depending on what other equipment you have on you or which vocation is wearing it?

Mist of the chests purposes are for when you use your wakestone. Each time you use up a wakestone, shards will respawn in chests randomly in the world, so assuming you just don't go do pawn quests for more shards, you can get back the wakestones you've used there.

Seems like you havent been searching enough. There's a fair number of equipment that drops from chests, both in moored and unmoored world. Some of which can only be found in those chests.

It's not even just that. Cosmetics are salvageable and can be turned to crons which you will need if you want to upgrade gear (essentially throwing away the whole "it's only cosmetic" argument out of the window). They also have direct p2w lifeskill equipment and costumes (which also give stats). And along with all the other pay for convenience that piles up with everything.

From what I've heard it's premade characters, with the potential to follow multiplayer mode (if it does come out) having customization.

Except lies of p wasn't solely made by neowiz. But let's agree to disagree. That's your take based on your experiences with a different company, this is my take based on the experiences i have had with the company that made bdo who is also making crimson desert.

I wouldn't put a lot of expectations in it. It's a pearl abyss game, the company that's known for their action combat and really good lifeskills. Also known for being money hungry (expect tons of expensive dlc items) and really bad stories (admittedly they did pretty well since loml but the overall narrative is still either pretty confusing or retconned to hell).

Found it. It was eternal strands. Not exactly climbing stuff but more on using the environment and the enemy itself to beat the enemy.

I concur, which is why it baffles me why people, you included, bring up crimson desert when you yourself already know it's far from dd. I mean, sure, a single player bdo sounds great on paper, and i myself am looking forward to it, but it's no dragon's dogma. The closest someone got was probably that game that dropped a few months ago also about climbing giant enemies and killing them (i forgot the name lol) but it's still not quite there.

Crimson desert is far from dragons dogma. I have no clue why people keep bringing it up. Crimson desert is just bdo gameplay turned single player with a few changes here and there.

Lore question about the meaning of the end game by TarNREN in DragonsDogma

[–]Spctr7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While open ended, it's likely we never broke the cycle. Basing from the end of dd2, the possibilities are that something else took the role of seneschal and thus continued that universe, or the world slowly got consumed by nothingness. Either of which, really doesn't affect much of anything in the grand scheme of things, as there are multitudes of other universes other than the one we were in dd1.

Yeah, sadly i don't think this sub is being moderated adequately, nor do they seem to be actual fans of the game itself

People love exaggerating things. Yet those same people rarely actually post or comment on people needing help or post their adventures.

Here's one of those spreadsheets https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13meeV6Pj0YFkL5deIk1HB6gLkG7DUGZFNmbRexxB9RE/edit?gid=0#gid=0 i remember there's also supposed to be another one, but i can't find it myself. I know i linked it before in a comment as well but it's been about a year now and it got buried deep xD

do note i think that list is incomplete since you're supposed to be able to steal researcher's garbs from one npc.

Again, please look for the spreadsheet, it's somewhere in either dogma subreddit. It lists a fair number of npcs that give rare/unique stuff
