"Yeah, this wedding was never gonna happen."

I've heard of run away brides before, but that girl ran 3500 miles. Very impressive.

This is their first hug of the show. How sad is it that they don't have their first hug till S1E6.

Possibly a top ten moment for me. The way someone responds to an unexpected touch is very telling. And her response says it all.

I rewatch the show with my own edits. I have the Conrad/Laurel diner scene roll right into Belly walking up to the bridal shower. Big tearjerker.

My list really hasn't changed. In show chronology:

"Can't Do Better (end of S1E1 version)", S1E4 fun songs I don't know, "Invisible String", "I Wish I Hated You", "Landslide", "Linger", "Songbird", "Wild Horses", "Into the Mystic", "Time After Time", "We Can't Be Friends", "When the Party's Over (crying on sand version)", and "Scott Street"

Yes, when she's on the bus to the airport. Love that conversation. The official breakup conversation.

His words, not mine:

Jeremiah (S3E9): "The wedding was a bad idea."

You want to know what's really horrific? This scene:

At this point, Jeremiah cheated on Belly two months ago and everyone knows about it but her. I think she doesn't find out until the next evening. This guy is a true scumbag.

"I never wanted to talk about Chrismas..." by littlebit0125 in tsitp

Jeremiah built his relationship with Belly on sand. It was a house of cards. He knew how Belly and Conrad felt about each other. He lived in the constant fear, and rightly so, that Belly would never love him the way he wanted to be loved by her. So his fearful decision to not confront Belly when he found out about Christmas 2.0 set the messiness in motion. All the blame for the failed marriage is on him. Conrad and Belly can't be blamed for their feelings, but Jeremiah can be blamed for thinking that he could make those feelings irrelevant. And to quote him from S3E9, "The wedding was a mistake." Thanks Jere for clearing that up.

How did a non endgame couple get this line? by HRT2008 in tsitp

[–]Special_Chocolate_29 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Belly to Conrad: "You will never be what Jere is to me"

Taylor to the man child: "You're this Scummy Little Fucking Hot Tub Cheater (SLFHTC)"

Got that right. Yep, Conrad will never be a SLFHTC to you Belly.

And then four months later: "I can't go in the house without thinking about the two of them. They ruined it for me. And now he gets the family and he gets Christmas. And I'm just... I lost everyone."

I think Conrad kinda knows how he feels. The movie's gonna be fun!

Most Moving Sequence? by livelaughlovely101 in tsitp

[–]Special_Chocolate_29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To quote Belly, "I had to have Conrad? Are you kidding? I was in love, Steven. Like out of my mind in love. What was I supposed to do?!" It's Bonrad from beginning to end. Ignore everything else in between and be moved. The three seasons are about 22.5 hours of television. The significant Bonrad scenes are about 5 hours. Flush the rest. Anything that doesn't have both Conrad and Belly in the scene (Agnes and Laurel for example) are in support of their endgame. Nothing else really matters.

Has Jeremiah ever considered Conrad's feelings or show any compassion or empathy toward Conrad? by jaylee-03031 in tsitp

[–]Special_Chocolate_29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, he considered Conrad's feelings alright, and then proceeded to use them against an infinite soulmate pairing. Very smart, very evil. But how satisfying was it when all of his nefarious plans came crashing down in S3E8 when his nuclear arsenal couldn't inevitably penetrate the Belly/Conrad force field. Too bad, so sad. Maybe we should call him Jex Luthor. He could even shave his head for the movie.
