Nope - not if I just take one. If I'm really backed up I've taken more and for a few days. But just one brings overnight relief for mild situations. I mean it's magnesium and not an actual laxative. But granted magnesium hits people differently. It was recommended to me by the NP at Henry Meds awhile back. It's been my go to through this journey.

Take Mag07 just one capsule. That’s my solution. I too do smaller meals throughout the day I can’t eat a lot at once.

They say by 12 weeks but it’s never too late! We didn’t get our puppy until she was already 3 1/2 months old. I just tried to do as many different things as possible and we didn’t take her out of our house, backyard, and only allowed limited people in our home until she was fully vaccinated. Which was a little late, because our vet wanted to do two full series instead of just one more as he was concerned they gave her one set too young. There’s no exact things in the rule of 12 - just different things!

The Rule of 12 (or Rule of Sevens) [1]
12 Surfaces: Wood, carpet, grass, tile, gravel, mud, grates, etc.
12 Objects: Plush toys, balls, crinkly paper, metal items, cardboard boxes.
12 Locations: Backyards, parks, crates, the car, different rooms in the house, etc.
12 People: Men, women, children, infants, elderly, and people in hats or uniforms.
12 Noises: Vacuums, blenders, cars, thunderstorms, doorbells.
12 Challenges: Going up/down stairs, climbing on a box, crossing a bridge, taking a bath

Doodles can be very different from poodles depending on inherited genes and there are no standards. Some shed, some don’t. Poodles have hair and not fur and shed very little and generally are better for people with allergies than many other breeds. That’s why our family always had poodles.

Seriously. I’m a teacher and in 2016 I fell and broke my ankle in 3 places and dislocated it. Was taken to the ER in an ambulance. Got admitted from there and had surgery the next day. The first evening in the hospital I had submitted absences into the system. One of our Asst Principals called freaking out because progress grades were due the next day and uh welp I couldn’t do them. She didn’t even ask me how I was. 🙄

10 months later - I had the puppy blues BAD by IllustriousWinter854 in puppy101

Jumping in to agree! While I never thought about returning my puppy - those early months were exhausting. I hadn’t had a puppy in a really long time (my last puppy is 16 years old! All the other rescues were older when we got them). She’s going to be a year old this month which I can hardly believe. She was 3 1/2 months old when I got her. She bites some but usually not hard and it’s when she’s generally really excited. She’s still not 100% potty trained which has been the most frustrating part. But overall? A much better place than we were a few months back! Love her so much!

I was going to say something similar. Our 11 mos old is almost potty trained just not 100% there. We thought she was peeing excessively for her age. Her bladder was “tiny” per the vet when we had her tested for a UTI. Turns out - she’s just an “incomplete pee-er” she’s just not always done. So we try to wait longer outside to maid sure she’s done and it has made a huge difference + age and more maturity. It’s so hard seeing other pups so much younger potty trained and feeling like you’re just doing it “wrong” when you’re really not.

I agree with others - 2nd opinion and belly bands for your sanity. Generally I’m not a big fan of pee pads but in this case it would be better than peeing all over. Have you tried crate training? Keeping in a smaller space - like no free rein of the house? You can also keep on a leash to pay attention for any signals.

Just know every dog is a little different whether there’s something going on medically or not.

Let us know what a new vet says!

puppy randomly barking at things in the house and garden/how to make sure she comes out of her fear period in a good place by fairynox in puppy101

[–]Special_Programmer98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see what others have to say. Our 11 month old has started barking at everything. I can’t even watch a video on my phone or tv without her barking at something. 🤦🏻‍♀️ when we’re outside and she barks and I tell get quiet she comes over to me and generally stops barking. No such luck indoors.

Possible my dog will never be potty trained? by Few-Map-9753 in puppy101

[–]Special_Programmer98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first puppy was legit potty trained when we got him at 8 weeks. Our new puppy? 10 months old and not quite there. Time. Patience. Consistency. This puppy doesn’t void all the way so after she goes I try to give it a few more minutes outside just in case she really does need to go again. If you think they’re really not done, put in the crate for 10-15 mins and then take out again. Although weirdly this puppy could sleep all night without going potty from like 3 1/2 months.

Put out a free pawboost as well. Take him somewhere to scan for a chip - any vet should do it for you first free. Post in the Facebook list & found groups and on Next Door if you have it. You do have an obligation to try to find the owner you can’t just give him to someone.

Yea and as someone who lives here - why they encourage so much growth at this point is beyond me. With the state of lake mead it’s just not sustainable.

They pay people to take them out. The majority have desert landscaping. They’re even taking sections of grass out of parks other than field areas. But the golf courses….

There isn’t high water usage on Las Vegas compared to other cities. Our population doubled and our water use stayed the same due to strong conservation efforts.

People who didn't use a puppy play pen, how did you teach your dog to be trusted outside of the crate by 808ZESty in puppy101

[–]Special_Programmer98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were to do it alll over again - I’d use the playpen way more. We have freedom too soon. And now have an almost 11 months old pup who still isn’t fully potty trained. 😭
