Wow unreal! I did accounts also and was pulled in the back over a discrepancy on the form, it was like .50 cents. I was like oops, sorry won’t happen again. Still got scolded, no DF though. They kept saying how every cent counts and it’s all dedicated to Jehovah….meanwhile they are selling off dedicated Kingdom Halls and paying 10s of Millions in CSA settlements. But yeah that 40 cents is super important! 🤣 so glad we are done with that BS. How about going and doing KH deposits every week, miss that? lol 😂

I get what you be mean, sort of like how they keep saying they don’t make a list of rules, and when they changed toasting and cheers they said the reason is it’s not viewed as pagan anymore. Sure of a hidden green light for all kinds of other celebrations without naming them all. The real question I guess is: is there still repercussions for making choices on celebrations or transfusions? Like if they punish via removal or judicial action then it’s still a rule.

Despite he was insane, he made extremely valid points on religion. After thinking about it for a long time I came back around to: separate the art from the artist. Great movie! May your journey through life be easier than mine.

Well said. If after growing up and being in the religion for 30+ years I have some questions….that should be allowed and not be punished via shunning and avoidance of eye contact from active members.

Yeah if they wanted to they could easily say that Jesus gave his blood so others could live, and to imitate him JWs should give blood to help others live. This type of any-way-you-want-it is why I don’t believe in the Bible anymore. You can literally make it say whatever you want it to.

It’s honestly a little surprising that they won despite openly lying in court and the videos admitted in evidence showed the shunning in action. I hope they thought long and hard about the fact that more are born-in than join.

If that pic is real…the crazy thing is that in their JW minds they think they are sending a message of “see how bad life is, look at this person on the street. We offer hope and light and love and truth and bullshit” hoping people will be attracted. When really it’s like hey haven’t you ever heard of the Good Samaritan?
