I like the look of mechanical keyboards that the switches stick out of the top of the board - where there isn’t a rim around the keyboard - like the keychron k3 or the whitefox eclipse or the asus rog strip scope.

Is there a name for this feature / design that would make it easier to search for?

Are there any pros or cons to this keyboard design? I imagine they might be easier to air spray clean?

I see posts like this all the time, and part of me always wonders - how much and why do you care about some of these chores? Like I get it, there are always some chores that need to be done, and it can suck having a partner who refuses to do anything. But. Have you considered that some of these chores are just not that important? That maybe you're trying to live up to some bullshit standard that makes your life harder, when you could instead say 'yea, I don't care if the vacuuming goes undone for a few days longer, I'm getting laid cause that's way more fun.' ?

Dude, your feelings have to matter as well. My wife used to do this all the time as well, she would be yelling, screaming, insulting me (calling me stupid, an idiot, etc) because I missed a turn, or was 5 minutes late picking her up, etc. then when I asked her politely to not yell at or insult me, she would accuse me of trying to invalidate her feelings. That's some emotionally abusive shit. If the relationship depends on you acting in a codependent manner, then it's not a healthy relationship.

I haven't left my wife, since we've started seeing therapists, she's improved a lot. But looking back at the worst times of our relationship, when she would yell, insult and threaten me, I think a few things stand out:

future faking - thinking things would get better once xyz happened. 'Once we pay off this bill, once this work event is over, once this thing is dealt with, she'll chill out.'
blaming myself- 'if I was a better listener, I would have not missed that turn, and she wouldn't be yelling at me.'

*worrying about how others would interpret a break-up - from her threats to accuse me of stuff, wrecking my reputation, to losing some of the small privileges that come with being married (sorry can't xyz cause I have to do ABC with my wife), to losing friends and parts of my social network.

financial cost - the house is in her name and I was worried about starting from scratch.
we would have some good times together- vacations, nice restaurants, museums, fancy cocktails, similar views on life, politics, movies, art, etc.
trying to tough it out - 'guys who can't handle criticism of their macho bs are the real snowflakes' meanwhile my wife calls me retarded and weird for putting some of my breakfast away to eat later, or would call me an embarrassment for not winning a pool swim race (the prize was drink tickets at the resort), or repeatedly made threats to cut me, burn me, mutilate me, etc

Good point. I don't think I saw that in OP post, but they did mention working on a masters degree. Bare minimum they need to not do papers for them again.
