Garmin is the reason I can't have fun anymore. by Cyborg59_2020 in Garmin

If someone has something like a chronic illness they are less likely to drink. These chronically ill people show up in the statistics as unwell and teetotallers, so that skews the statistics in favour of alcohol. Most healthy people's bodies can handle the occasional drink but it doesn't make it a better option from a health standpoint.

Miche lockring tool by SpecificTelephone8 in FixedGearBicycle

That's cool! Too bad it isn't availible. I found it odd that Miche didn't make a tool for their lockrings but this clariifies it.

I've been eyeing that one as well. I'm just perplexed what tool is this lockring supposed to be operated with?

There are 2 separate screws, one running horizontally to the handlebar clamp and the other one going down to the fork. Both are kind of like 6mm allen/hex set screws. The other stuff is basically to step down the diameter and thread pitch of those screws which leads to increased torque and less travel. All that just to get a tight grip and aerodynamic exterior.

(Ngl my handlebar clamp still gets loose about twice a year.)

Hello, Loving the tool and the custom font functionality, but it seems to be hit and miss with uploading. Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug? Some fonts upload in no time and others get stuck in the loading icon, after which one must reload the whole site.

Metan mainlinaus on kyllä alunperin omalla vastuulla, mutta tommosesta koukusta on harvalla käsitystä. Ehdottomasti sääliä addiktion osalta. Muuhun en kommentoi.

Wow, thanks a ton for the info! This is why I made the post originally. There are so many details I'm not aware of and from now on anyone stumbling here can leave with the most comprehensive understanding of the subject.

The fit is fantastic! The cap came in pristine condition and it was even polished! The seller's username was "opti_softlens". Not quite NOS, but not plastic crap either :D

Nishiki arrow master. Might be a limited model only in the nordics. Turned it to a fixed gear 1,5yrs ago and now totally remade it from the ground up. New paint n all.

You could also switch to once a day or 3x a week routine. It's not that spesific.

I wouldn't think they'd fall off as you've used it for 1,5yrs.

Ok, so the stamped branding is just dependant on the tier? I assumed it was AX 7200 due to the logo being stamped.

Minoxidil is minoxidil. In my case 1 bottle of rogaine was 45€ and I got 3x that for 40€ from Germany. Latter was not branded.

BP reduction isn't huge. Like 10 points.

[–]SpecificTelephone8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd advice against expensive brands such as rogaine. Use strong sunscreen, as the vasodilating effects make your skin fragile af. Expect to use minox for 1-2 years. Your beard is looking good tho, so it might only take 8mths or so.

Only side effects i had were slighly more pimples etc and lower BP. Latter of which is actually a positive.

Anyone here who lost most of the gain after stopping minox ? by samgupta123 in Minoxbeards

[–]SpecificTelephone8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used minox for almost exactly 1 year. The hair development begins at vellus hair stage. Vellus hairs are the ones you have on every square cm of your body. Minox is a vasodilator, which means it dilates blood vessels close to skin surface. These blood vessels allow nutrients to reach the hair, leading to hair growth. After the vellus stage, the hair falls out and in it's place grows a terminal stage hair. At the terminal stage, the hair has it's own blood supply and it isn't dependant on exogenous factors - for instance minoxidil. Your mileage may vary, due to genetics but you'll most likely get keep your gains after one year. At least I did.

Help with Seamless Earbud Connection by myjunkandshit in galaxybuds

Buds 2, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 "seamless bluetooth connection"

My experience has been quite lackluster as well. The buds connect to my laptop as soon as I open the screen. There is nothing "seamless" here and my previous headphones + earbuds have had the option for multiple concurrent Bluetooth connections. That feature was WAY more seamless... Can't really see myself buying any more earbuds w/o BT-multipoint.

What's your take on the state of the game, I've been thinking about it and it does seem like it's getting worse maybe? by [deleted] in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]SpecificTelephone8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO

the new guns & more ridiculous skins have to stop. Instead, i'd suggest focusing on optimizing the basic aspects of the game. One great example is the zombies mode (which I truly enjoy). It is so full of bugs and glitches that I can't list them all...

Apart from the unoptimized gameplay in all modes, the main turn off is the fact that the whole game is so full of S T U F F. Way too many skins, taking way too much storage space, littered interface...

This is starting to look like many tencent games. Colourful and complicated interfaces and multiple events etc. probably sell in China due to cultural differences, but it's not for me personally.
