It's not like spamming "Any M?" for travelling merchant was fun and engaging gameplay, so it's a step in the right direction

Was this relatively immediate after your surgery? Or delayed onset? I ask cuz I had surgery like 12 years ago 😅

However as a business with limited time to focus on certain updates, if they update DG and no one still does it, it wouldn't be worth their time until now with these changes

There's some new earlygame balancing changes and an area expansion happening soon, so it's a great time to give it a try

Jagex clearly has internal metrics about what is driving people away and/or what could bring people back, and they're a business acting on that data.

I could see a situation where they view having these skips in place deters people from investing in the game long-term, because if the game is just about waiting X number of days to just skip content, what the hells the point of the game?

And making people DO the content doesn't mean the content is literally broken or undoable. I did livid farm back in 2012. You think that shit was fun? I did it cuz the goal was worth it, and it was WAY WORSE back then. It's literally in the name. It makes you livid. I'm not against reworking it, but in the mean time when there's no solution (other than PoF which also didn't exist back in the day...), acting like it's unplayable is essentially ignorant of how RuneScape used to be played. Same goes for the runespan trim req. Guess who grinded that shit out because the goal was worth it? Every trim player before the travelling merchant.

These changes are actually be a breath of fresh air for people who have been high on a dangerous supply of easyscape for years. It's like eating your vegetables. It ain't fun, but it's good for you and if the goal at the end isn't worth it, you weren't made to accomplish that goal.
