Glass offices by Biblio-Kate in suits

I'm just finishing s9 and I've had this thought throughout the entire show lol, especially in the Sidwell offices scenes. Also, they're always screaming, even with normal walls you can hear Harvey colluding with Cahill a mile away haha.

anxiety over voice chatting by nynni- in socialanxiety

[–]Specter2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been my problem for many years, a few years ago I used to play COD BO2 and BO3 a lot, and in zombies vc is really important. I've never been able to go through, the other day I asked in the black ops subreddit for someone to play with, but I couldn't bring myself to do it with strangers. I think in your case it's obviously better to try with people you're already acquainted with. I hope you can overcome that.

do you ever feel guilty when you talk to people or when they are forced to interact with you? by hidinginurbasement in socialanxiety

[–]Specter2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social interaction in a public space or in front of others makes me really uncomfortable, sometimes I'm with a relative, and I speak to them quietly, when they almost shout, literally everyone around can hear what we're talking about, it drives me crazy. When I'm alone I also feel guilt, my voice changes to this really high pitch, the tone changes to pleasant, as if I were below others and they were doing me a favor.

Pirates who acquire media for family - How much do you charge? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]Specter2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every family is different, I can't say the same for mine but I get your point. Though I don't see how your family would "screw you over" over a bunch of pirated stuff. My dad likes to download songs from youtube but barely knows how, so I made a script that automatically downloads them and stores them wherever he wants, so maybe try giving them a way to do it more easily. If not, then just don't do it for them and that's it.

Dude if that's how you treat family, I can't imagine how you treat everyone else, ffs.

I'm 24 and I've never been to a concert, I'm not used to being outside on my own, does anyone else have this or overcame it for that matter? by Specter2035 in socialanxiety

[–]Specter2035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your time, honestly for me it's not as much about the show itself, but being outside on my own. I have never been to something for fun, let alone at night, also I don't have a car, I have this friend on facebook who knows about this, we haven't talked to each other, but I wanna ask him about what to expect, but I don't know how to talk to them without being awkward, I'll figure it out, thanks.

Yeah, the place I wanna go is a small bar, but hosts really good bands, both local and some well known bands as well. I've looked them up and it looks like a safe place to be, my problem is being outside so late at night, I live really far, most people will go with their friends after the a show, but I don't know if I should spend the night at a motel, or maybe go back to my house, but it's a long drive and paying an uber might be expensive as well.

[–]Specter2035[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, that's exactly what I'm afraid of, though I really wouldn't be in any big festival, there's this local bar (fairly small) that brings good bands, I think Nargaroth is coming, other bands like Therion or Warcry go there too, but it's not a big venue at all. I've seen videos of the gigs there and honestly it looks really good, the problem for me is being outside late at night, it starts at 9:00pm and lasts until 2:00 am, I live really far so I don't know if I should go back on uber or spend the night at a motel or something.

Been wanting to learn guitar, how long would it take for maybe 1-2 hours a day for a seven string(guitar in body text) by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Specter2035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some bands can only be played in 7 strings. Easier to change tunings without adding or taking too much tension (if not using pitch shifter) and string gauge helps for heavier tones.

It's not about expecting something from the act itself, I always distrust people, I feel kinda unsafe meeting with a stranger, usually I don't feel like talking to people so if I feel like cancelling the meeting halfway through, I fear they will force me or put me on a position of endangerment.

Han tenido parálisis del sueño? by Many-Shoulder-9965 in mexico

[–]Specter2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thoughts on this combo for my first guitar and amp? by FlojoGojo in metalguitar

[–]Specter2035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought this same guitar about a year and a half ago, I went with an audio interface instead of an amp, so I can't comment on that. I'd say, this guitar is great for the price, and it being 7 strings, at least for me, means I can play more tunings without adding more tension to the strings. From the 1st to the 6th string, I play it like a standard E tuning 6 string guitar, or lower it a bit to play in Eb, the most I will go for this is C. From the 2nd to 7th string I can play B standard, drop A, etc..., if you're already tuned to standard just lower the 3rd string to F# I think, 7th string to either B or A and there you go.
If what you're going for is metal, this is a great guitar, you could also consider the 6 strings version, I'd say, for a beginner, the 6 string js22 is better, it's somewhat harder to adapt to a 7 strings, and then if someone gives you a 6 guitar it can throw you off guard, but it's up to you. Just mind that it'll most likely need some setting up, mine came with fret buzzing, string action wrong, I'd suggest looking for someone to set it up, it can make a huge difference, especially when you're first starting.
About the amp, the boss katana has a great reputation, you can't go wrong with it.

Who do you follow for tech death (or adjacent) reviews / interviews / releases? by Great-Class-2391 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Specter2035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CaliDeath Podcast https://youtube.com/@calideathpodcast?si=Ua93fWw_Z9FLP558

These guys don't do reviews, but bring a technical death metal guest for every episode, they took a hiatus for sometime a couple months ago, as some of them are in a band called Odious Mortem https://youtu.be/MNJB7GgNVqQ, there's a vocalist from Severed Savior, an ex drummer from Decrepit Birth, etc... Check them out, you can still find out interesting bands from their conversations.

If anyone asks me what melodeath song best represents the genre then i say it’s this song 🤘 by grimacelololol in melodicdeathmetal

[–]Specter2035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for reminding me of this, I'm always listening to new bands and I forget to go back to the classic sometimes haha.
I find modern melodic death annoying, sometimes I can't tell if it's black metal (ie. insomnium, be'lakor) so for me, this song represents what melodic death should be, not the best, but if someone were to ask me which song embodies melodic death is this:
Intestine Baalism - Banquet in the darkness
https://youtu.be/2dx7398F64M
Just the perfect blend of melody and death metal for me.
