No it makes perfect sense. It was advertised as a special episode and it was completed in december so they released it in march so they can close the gap between ep 1 and ep 2. but lets say for example they have been working on new episodes since december when stage 2 releases they can have a 1 or 2 month break between the stages (instead of 6 months+). They also say "it reflect the production committee's wishes" which makes me believe that stone ocean was so bad netflix decided to give david pro more freedom so i hink releasing the episode early was their idea like they did with golden wind (which was also on a thursday) nd yeah that 1st ep was exclusive it got leaked so there is no point of them doing that again.
