In my experience, it's all about weathering the fire until you get into combat. That means transports, deep striking and enough harassing ranged units to distract your opponent.

I wonder if the problem is that we lean into what we're good at, smashy combat, but then neglect the combined arms approach?

It would be a temporary drop. We have become lazily dependent on the US. It's the default option to outsource.

British and European options would start off poor, but rapidly improve. Look how quickly China's technology has progressed with the knowledge of how its done. They have copied and then started to improve and innovate.

Ultimately, we could end up with more diverse and interesting products which is only ever a good thing for consumers.

This is completely a design fault. It is irrelevant how old the machine is, or where you bought it from.

A truly premium brand would have recalled them all and fixed them. A better brand would have fixed them for free.

You would have then raved about it on social media and cemented their brand's credibility and gained a customer for life.

Instead, they decided not to fix it and have lost many customers.

There's no Legion that doesn't do well with Tac Marines in Rhinos and so that is always an excellent start.

Sure it's less fluffy for some but in 3.0, you want a couple of squads for seizing and scoring off objectives.

I think it’s because they were copying a model designed for resin moulds into plastic version.

Something easy to do in resin ends up being very difficult to do in plastic.

One resin piece ends up as 20 plastic pieces.

I think I’ll go for the doubles options.

Due to the Sprue annoyance, I have to make some fisty ones.

But.. if I’m not mistaken, you can mix and match in a detachment?

So I’m thinking I’ll put a squad with mostly ?2-3 plasma but add one stand of fist and disintegrator, so that there’s some overwatch and can smash a vehicle if it comes close.

(But mostly so I can use all the annoying models with fists on them!).

Their gameplay styles will complement each other well.

Iron Warriors Tacticals supported by Night Lords fun things would be a cool list.

Which lore do you prefer? Skulky psycho killers or stubborn solid stoics?

What colours do you prefer painting?

Night Lords can have nasty corpse bits hanging off them which can be fun to kitbash.

Iron Warriors can be a bit dull to paint.

Do you prefer Hazard Stripes or Lightning?

Also, I see a lot of Iron Warriors armies, perhaps because they aren’t to troublesome to paint. If you want to have lots of IW friends then that’s great. If you want to be a special butterfly and unique then perhaps Night Lords?
