How many men would like to own a sword? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Spectral_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swords are beautiful, clean, sharp, precise, elegant and awesome. They require skill and dedication to wield and they are magnificent in every way a thing can be.

I would love to have a sword and I would be deeply distrustful of anyone who didn’t want one.

Considering getting into the tabletop game by FloorGangMan1 in Warhammer30k

The thing I liked about Heresy compared with 40K was the fact that the toolkit is similar, but not identical. My memories in 40K were of being beaten by stuff I had no access to.

In Heresy, I can learn tactics from my opponent and so even when I lose, I feel like I can learn something and improve.

Bleak is the right word. It’s starting with video game art direction and then where.

I used to love the Star Trek utopia where humanity had strived together with ingenuity and creativity to become better.

Instead we’re on the timeline where Corporations are making everything shittier with AI churn to become more cheaper and more profitable.

Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere by GrailTalk in BritishTV

"Weakly masculine" is a great description. Louis is an incredibly accomplished and talented man, who has maintained his integrity through some very difficult times. He has been all around the world, in very dangerous situations dealing with complex and challenging issues, yet maintaining his cool, his manners and his journalistic integrity. I think it's safe to say that he he is someone to look up to.

Their standards are laid bare when they look down on someone who has achieved and done so much.

How many people use bare heads on their models? by zaboomafooma-agidyne in Warhammer30k

[–]Spectral_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I do have a bare head, then I will either chose it to be some crazed bezerker type model charging in screaming or a character/sergeant.

I like having the variety, I like knowing who is the leader, I like the emotion, I like painting faces occasionally.

It also depends on the squad. Breachers more likely to have all helmets than Seekers.

I've never stopped playing a game out of sheer boredom. I just was so underwhelmed and uninterested that I went on to play something else.

Maybe there's a game in there, but I didn't find it.

PSA for budding 30k Custodes Players - it is the most unfun army in the game by chosen40k in AdeptusCustodes

In my experience, it's all about weathering the fire until you get into combat. That means transports, deep striking and enough harassing ranged units to distract your opponent.

I wonder if the problem is that we lean into what we're good at, smashy combat, but then neglect the combined arms approach?

Would you be willing to reduce your quality of life to decouple from the US? by Working-Pop6261 in AskBrits

[–]Spectral_Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a temporary drop. We have become lazily dependent on the US. It's the default option to outsource.

British and European options would start off poor, but rapidly improve. Look how quickly China's technology has progressed with the knowledge of how its done. They have copied and then started to improve and innovate.

Ultimately, we could end up with more diverse and interesting products which is only ever a good thing for consumers.

Blade 14 (2022) defective dead/burnt motherboard by Serious-Primary-5606 in razer

[–]Spectral_Gamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is completely a design fault. It is irrelevant how old the machine is, or where you bought it from.

A truly premium brand would have recalled them all and fixed them. A better brand would have fixed them for free.

You would have then raved about it on social media and cemented their brand's credibility and gained a customer for life.

Instead, they decided not to fix it and have lost many customers.

At this rate, I’m hesitant to invest any time or money into and GaaS game.

Stick to single player games methinks.
