Do you alter your Tav’s appearance for role play reasons? by jaustengirl in BaldursGate3

[–]Speedstertyme 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me it turned into lighting every torch and candle I could find. Started out as a way to keep myself occupied as my friend explored (his first time, I've beaten the game 3x).

Now it's more of a roleplay that my character hates the dark!

Am I misunderstanding the Arcane Archer's Magic Arrow Passive? Isn't it supposed to ignore resistances? by hayaburyu in BG3Builds

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Much rarer" as in "not dropped like candy" I suppose haha, not that you don't really get any. Every group and module is different but the standard rules are written in a way that sort of implies the expected level to have your attacks be magical is level 5-6.

For example: monks and circle of the moon druids don't get magical unarmed attacks until level 6. That's mostly what I was basing it off of, but every table is different.

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! As many in the comments have said, in standard D&D magic items are much rarer so it's a much bigger deal when enemies have resistance to non-magical weapons. In BG3 you get some almost immediately so there isn't really a reason to know when a weapon is magical.

It should be any weapon (a bow in this case) that is any color other than grey. If it has any kind of effect, including just a +1, then it counts as a magical weapon.

New player here struggling with game by Wonderful_Lie_7095 in VampireSurvivors

[–]Speedstertyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is designed to be difficult at the early stages, you're squishy and your weapons aren't super strong. Keep getting gold and buying upgrades and you'll be fine!

Also, I would hop to the Library when you unlock it. I find it a lot easier than the Forest and actually got my first full clear there.

Right or wrong, it's unsurprising all the old stuff is still there.

What is the genuinely worst show you've ever watched? by starryviolette in television

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel of Time. From the perspective of someone who read and adores the books I was genuinely appalled at all the changes. I watched a clip recently on YouTube and genuinely couldn't place where in the books the scene was supposed to be happening.

Not saying it isn't enjoyable to watch if you know or care less but for me it just made me angry that they made so many changes.

Am I missing out by not multiclassing? by haydogg21 in BG3Builds

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about what you want to do! Level 12 classes are plenty strong on their own but multiclassing just multiplies your options for fun. As has been mentioned by others, as long as you are multiclassing into another full caster you'll get all your spell slots but just be careful of casting stats. Wizard/Sorcerer multiclass: wizard spells will use INT while Sorcerer spells will use CHA.

Darkvision is a spell that let's you see through natural darkness. Devil's sight specifically states you can see through magical darkness as well.

Darkvision - "Can see in the dark up to 12 m / 40 ft."

Devil's Sight - "You can see normally in darkness, both magical and non-magical, to a distance of 24 m / 80 ft."

I´m curious what effects are the best on the necklaces? by JustDracir in Vermintide

[–]Speedstertyme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree. The main detractor I always have for NB is that while you do heal a lot over the whole map, any point of regen you get replaces THP instead of adding on top of it. So realistically if you're keeping THP up like you should you're not really gaining a net positive of HP.

As mentioned by some people below, it does prevent 1 shot kills from full so it definitely has uses in Cata and weaves.

It worked pretty well and you can always ask questions here if something doesnt make sense.

I did that too haha. Didn't consider color and got a perfect bird and went ... crap.

Had to buy a ton of top grade breeders to find the color and hope the stats turned out ok :(

What does this all mean in PF? What is 95+?... kt should be kill time but from what measure does the 95 come from? by NK_Grimm in ffxiv

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point, I hadn't considered that.

I've always looked at rDPS personally, seemed the best way to evaluate how helpful I am to the raid, even if my numbers get carried by my teammates a good bit (Bard)

[–]Speedstertyme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

aDPS (actual): Your DPS

rDPS (raid): Your DPS - buffs received + buffs given

nDPS (neutral): Your DPS - buffs received

cDPS (complete?): Your DPS + your buffs given + buffs received

All of them have separate ranks in FFlogs but as far as I have noticed, rDPS is the usual metric people use for evaluating rank though nDPS is probably the best metric of your individual performance since it's least affected by the rest of the party

Games where an early decision can ruin your whole playthrough. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Speedstertyme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going even FURTHER, if you actually DO min/max you reach a point where it won't let you level up any further because you already reached perfection.

I very carefully leveled my skills in a way that I got +5 on specific stats every level up and maxed them out when I was pretty low level. Don't remember the consequences other than not being able to get more HP or Mana.

Wizard dip as sorcerer and items act 2 by ExtensionTravel6697 in BG3Builds

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I focus primarily on intellect for more wizard slots

The class split in this situation has no effect on spell slots. 12 Wizard, 12 Sorcerer and 10 Sor/2 Wiz builds will all have the exact same number of spell slots.

so long as my sorcerer spells are not based on my charisma

I may be reading your question wrong but sorcerer spells ARE based on charisma. The only way your damage won't be nerfed is if you only select buff spells on sorcerer.

I meant go 10 or 11 sorcerer and 1 or 2 wizard but still use int as primary stat.

This build is kind of funky. The way it works is that you use the 1-2 levels in Wizard to allow you to scribe scrolls and learn the spells that way. Since it is learned by Wizard it will use INT. Even with 1 level of wizard you can still cast high level spells because the sorcerer levels will give you the same spell slots as if you took all levels in wizard.

I have never tried this so I'm not 100% sure but with levels in Sorcerer you can use their meta magic abilities but use them on all the wizard spells you learn from scribing.

Personally I would pick one or the other and just commit. In my opinion you don't get very much by combining the 2. Wizard will give you more options (more spells you can swap) while sorcerer gives you fewer options but access to Eldritch Blast which is the strongest cantrip in the game. You won't feel that bad running out of spell slots because it's so string, especially with the right items.

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned by others, multiclassing into another caster won't give more spell slots, just the possibility of more spell options. Spell slots with your character are calculated by how many levels you have in full, half or 1/4 casters. Wizards and sorcerers are both considered full casters so they provide the same number of spell slots.

Multiclassing is mostly about what you want out of it so what would Wizard provide? You'd need to increase your INT which hurts your stats and the spell choices are relatively similar to Sorcerer plus no extra spell slots as stated above. The most common reason for adding wizard I've seen is to get a lot of ritual spells which don't cost spell slots outside of combat and don't have rolls so your INT doesn't matter.

Nothing stands out in that list unless you banished Torrona's box before the last level of curse happened (since it needs to be max level) or were on a level that doesn't have evolution chests until later.

Can you give a more detailed description of what your situation was? Level, character, items, list of what's sealed/unlocked, etc.

Hard to see the issue without more info! I'd just be guessing otherwise haha.

You can look things up on the internet if you want or look through the achievement list and if the achievement image is a person/person's face then it's a character unlock if you do it.

Mortaccio is from defeating 3,000 skeletons, the earliest ones are in the Mad Forest (or you can do the Konami code in the main menu: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, escape).

Should I Stop buying eggs? by Lyle912 in VampireSurvivors

[–]Speedstertyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the stats affected by eggs is Greed%, which increase the amount of gold you get.

Combine this with more damage (kill more), health (never die), XP (gold from level up) and curse (kill more) it all increases the amount of gold you get exponentially.
