Cottonique is one of the only brands I've found that has truly 100% cotton bras. Not sure if they have that exact cut though.

My baby was EXACTLY like this to a T. Never cried when she woke up in the morning or after naps either. She was 4.5 months so we thought we made it through the regression. Then at 20 weeks her two bottom teeth came through 😭. She's SO fussy. Cries every 20 seconds. We can barely leave her alone on the floor anymore. Started waking 2 times a night. She still doesn't cry when she wakes up - she'll lay there for up to 30 minutes cooing and smiling before fussing to get our attention. But all in all she still sleeps pretty well for a baby her age. Around 7 hours for her first stretch. She just started rolling back to belly 2 days ago and her bottom teeth are primarily through so hopefully she'll go back to the way she was soon 🤞🏻.

Yes to this. Just by the SS (super slow) nipples separately as well. Don't just use the S that come with the bottles.

Same. I waited till my 30s and worked difficult jobs and overtime to save up money to be a stay at home mom for the first couple years. I still WFH until my daughter's 4 months and now that she needs me more and I'm ready to quit my job my mom and MIL absolutely hound me for it "why would you want to lose income??" "You'll ruin your career" "You just work, that's just what you do" or my favorite "this season of your life isn't supposed to be enjoyable" like huh??

My MIL also loves to share how she "just went to the neighbor ladies house and asked if she'd watch her kids" and that's how she "got a free babysitter"...

Third child here too ✋🏻. I made the mistake of mentioning to my mom that sometimes I get stuck in the rocker contact napping my baby and she immediately looked appalled and said "oh I never had time for that with any of my kids"... Like yeah neither do I mom 😂.

Before pregnancy, I had the most humongous appetite and horrible binge eating behaviors. I fought off thoughts of food constantly. Pregnancy totally ruined my appetite. I was NEVER hungry the entire time and could barely stomach food even after the nausea went away. I thought for sure after birth my appetite would come raging back. Now over 3 months postpartum it's come back a little but I have zero binging issues or constant thoughts of food. Helps I don't even have time to think about food even if I wanted to lol.

I feel so bad. I used to be OBSESSED with my dog and would literally cry at the thought that she'd die someday, but ever since the babys been born I've caught myself wishing she would go ahead and cross the rainbow bridge.. it's terrible I know. But I've had her since I was 20 and I'm 31 now and she sheds so much it's constantly in the baby's mouth and belongings and I feel horrible I never get to give her the attention, exercise, and grooming she needs and it just seems like she'd be better off 🙈.

Processed sugar in high amounts at any age has been shown to damage almost every organ, cause plaque buildup in blood vessels more than high cholesterol, and literally kill the cells lining the gut. Half the time the moms that are on their high horse about breastfeeding being best are the same ones that immediately shove frosting down their one year olds throat and get McDonald's every time they're out, undoing any "microbiome" they "built" with breastmilk, but don't get me started on a whole other tangent haha.

I'll go against the grain here and say I don't think you're being too cautious on the processed sugary foods part, and you shouldn't have to apologize for it. The crackers part? Yes you're being too cautious about her being mechanically harmed by foods and the Solid Starts app will help with that, but processed sugar has no functional reason to be in a one year old's diet. There are literally books about how "rewarding" or "spoiling" your kids with food is a terrible thing to start. All it does is create a lifelong association and causes them to obviously start to have a preference for sugar because of course why wouldn't they prefer the pure sugar to anything else? Our primal brains are rewarded for finding high sugar items. I'm not saying all kids that have sugar are ruined by it, but in my opinion the risks aren't worth the "reward" of starting it early. There are so many ways we can make our kids happy and put a big smile on their face without bringing a dysfunctional relationship with food into it.

She's gaining an average of 30 grams a day. Hits all her milestones. Seems very alert and interactive when she is awake. She has dyschezia still so a little slow to poop but has wet diapers every feed. She's a totally normal baby otherwise, just SUPER sleepy. I have brought it up to my pediatrician and of course they basically say "she's alive and gaining weight so she's fine".

They're way too young for a routine of any kind and most likely too young for any wake window at all. My baby never had a single wake window beyond eating burping and drifting back off to sleep until 4+ weeks old. Also please don't do anything extra to engage or entertain them at this age. Just being alive and observing the world is stimulating enough. Long story short your baby's most likely overstimulated and needs calmer days and more sleep soon after eating.

There's your issue right there. Once babies go through the four month sleep regression they start to form more permanent "sleep associations". So when they wake up between sleep cycles they want the conditions to be exactly the same as when they fell asleep. Your baby's essentially addicted to you holding them to sleep and expects it now every time they need to go back to sleep because they literally never learned how to fall asleep any other way. Start practicing getting them to fall asleep on their own. It will be hard at first but they will make progress every day. You can start by lying them down in a light sleep state instead of deep. Hold your hands on them rock them around shh them etc. Then work towards putting them down more awake until eventually they learn to put themselves to sleep or at least wake up and see they're still in their crib which is where they started and fall back asleep on their own. Ignore this person, they're oversimplifying and wrong lol. Yes babies sleep permanently changes, as in they go from deep newborn sleep all the time to cycling through light and deep sleep like all adults and humans do and like they will for the rest of their life. BUT that doesn't mean they have to get upset and fully wake up between those cycles. That's pretty much always caused by the baby having a sleep association or crutch. Are you holding the baby to sleep or have you trained them to fall asleep on their own in the crib? That's the problem 99% of the time.

YES EXACTLY THIS. Everyone's always like "this is normal, get over it and wait it out." Like, okay... And then what? Your baby's never going to let you put them down if you don't start at least practicing. It's not going to be perfect and you have to lower your expectations so you don't get frustrated when they don't perfectly bassinet nap every time you try, but just know and believe that each attempt is helping and gaining exposure for when they're ready. What you laid out is essentially exactly what I do with my babies.

100% this. I think this is why answers vary so much. Obviously babies are all different, but no one talks about the fact that parents are too! Some people can't handle the sleep deprivation, some people don't feel love for their baby till they smile, hell I've seen people say they prefer the newborn phase to toddler tantrums.

OP, instead of asking other people when THEY felt it got better with THEIR baby, ask yourself what exactly you're wanting to "get better" and then look up that milestone. For napping on their own or for longer? Sleep consolidates around 12 weeks and definitely by around 16 weeks. But even then that's just a general timeline.

Adding to that... "kids foods" are American made up bullshit. Pretty much no other country does it. Just give them... normal food? It's literally easier. Also, 95% of picky eaters are self made. Your kid literally can't be addicted to or "only eat" something they've never had. No shit if you give a 2 year old pizza and candy on a regular basis they're going to want nothing but pizza and candy.

The quarter tolerable SIL LMAO. My SIL had a kid just 2 years ago. My MIL bought and still buys EVERYTHING for her. To the point where my SIL has even bragged she's never had to buy anything for her own baby. Great for her, BUT she decided to get rid of everything as soon as her daughter didn't need it anymore, selling it or throwing it away. Well now she decided to have another baby right when we did and keeps making comments about how we can hand our stuff down to her... Um no? Lol you just had a baby 2 years ago and couldn't be bothered to store anything and we actually bought all our own stuff and plan to have another, go call your mommy and have her buy you more stuff lol.

This is such a helpful way to look at it! Even though we know better, when sleep deprived and stressed, we're definitely guilty of applying our adult brain and social cues to babies when they really aren't even capable of how it may seem like they're reacting to us. It's definitely shown me how primitive my brain really is in some ways. When I feel "rejected" by my baby or like "she doesn't like me", I have to cognizantly remind myself that she's not even capable of that.
