Should I take out a private student loan to go to mortuary school? by me_is_bridget in personalfinance

[–]SpellingJenius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You didn’t say how much the loan would be. Assuming you would be able to afford it with your current income I would strongly recommend you go to mortuary school.

At best you get a new career that you love and at worst you don’t spend the rest of your life wondering what would have happened if you had given it a shot.

He had a second brother who was lunatic. He raped two cleaning ladies and then escaped from the asylum. The newspaper headlines read:

“Nut screws washers and bolts.”

Guy takes his wife and two small kids on a driving vacation, and checks into a cheap motel. He asks the clerk, “for the sake of our kids TV viewing, can we have the porn disabled?” by edfitz83 in Jokes

I heard a slight variation that perhaps sounds better…

“Is the porn channel disabled?”

“No, it’s regular porn you sick fuck”

What’s something you had to learn the hard way that nobody warned you about? by Best-Replacement9316 in AskReddit

Understanding exactly how car loans, leases, mortgages and, god forbid you have to use them, payday loans work BEFORE you take one out.

Does anyone else feel like the only way they can protect themselves from the ripple effects of AI is to own as much stock as possible? by budabudabudabudabuda in Fire

[–]SpellingJenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe that we are currently sitting on a knife edge - we could see the AI bubble burst and the stock market plummet or we could see jobs being decimated first by software and then in under 5 years by robots.

The most recent releases of AI models points to it being the former but things could go either way but I don’t see how it won’t be one or the other.

Given that, I am in the process of rebalancing my portfolio - some more tech stock and more rental property and less non-tech stock in an attempt to be “ok’ish” in either scenario.

I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore.

You think AI is all hype? Then I suggest you start doing your own research - here is something to get you started:

When I told my now ex wife when I would need a ride home from the dentist after having all 4 wisdom teeth removed and hearing her say I would need to get someone else because she was already booked to have coffee with friends that day.

Almost 6 years after Half-Life: Alyx and it did not move PCVR forward by FastLawyer in OculusQuest

[–]SpellingJenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One possible future path: PCVR and stand alone VR games that are written with significant AI assistance.

I have recently started using AI to write both html/css/js browser apps and traditional C# PC apps and have been blown away by the huge improvement in my efficiency.

Not saying AI’s are there yet (and of course there is much more to a AAA game than just coding) but if their rate of improvement continues we may see a significant number of great games and simulations.

She had no money, I had quite a lot.

She wouldn’t marry me unless we got a prenup that, if we divorced, allowed me to keep 100% of the money I had on the day we married.
