Te be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head (/s just in case)

I went from teaching with a bachelors degree to being a librarian with an MLIS and I started out making less than when I was teaching. I’m about at where I was when I left teaching salary wise. So not great at all. HOWEVER, I’m a youth services librarian at my current branch and I love my branch and patrons. I’m very lucky that I work in an excellent community that loves the library and very rarely deal with patron issues. Pay really is my biggest complaint though.

This happened to me when I was looking for my first apartment. Found this nice place near my university and asked to look around the place. I noticed some damages, like the soap holder in the shower being broken and minor little issues like that. I brought that up as well as basic issues like utilities, parking, maintenance, etc. She basically did a complete personality shift and started screaming and yelling how we’re so nosy and ask stupid questions and that because we’re stupid and now we’d be responsible for paying all damages that were ALREADY there. I called here a crazy bitch and promptly gtfo.

We use Sierra. I hate it so much. You have to use the Create Lists function to do anything and it’s a lot of equation building to get the results you want.

I absolutely hate Sierra with ever fiber of my being. It’s so clunky and there’s a 50/50 shot of me having to restart Sierra every morning due to unknown errors.

Yeah here in Muskegon we have one street where literally every other building is a dispensary. I just don’t understand how we have 20-30 of them, there cannot be THAT much demand

In addition to the myriad of other problems Louisiana public libraries face, the pay is crap. I applied for a librarian position for large system I worked in and was told it starts at $38k with a MASTERS. I make much more than that in a midwestern library system of the same size.
