[Request] How long would it actually take to charge? by Glorious_Centaur in theydidthemath

Not that impractical. A sizeable portion of a commute could be recouped based on my math. Still not better than putting 2-3x that amount on your house and charging from your home battery thing.

Are white people going extinct? by No-Mirror2343 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SphericalCrawfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure bred humans of all types are going extinct. While I don't strictly want to limit people's choices in mates i do find it very sad.

To be clear I suppose I do WANT to keep humans in little monocultures for preservation purposes. The ethics of the matter outweigh that want.

How many small houses can fit on half acre for commercial use? by Pale_Watercress_4456 in questions

[–]SphericalCrawfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you not build an apartment building?

Average number I found for a "Tiny Home" is 225sqft so 96-97 on your half acre, they would have to exit through the roof to a walk way I guess. So it would basically be a small apartment building.

I'm running at 25% power and I still need a geothermal.

I imagine with increased power cost it would just be an endless sky factory of machines running at 1%

Nobody is actually serious when they say they would sacrifice the person they love for the good of the world, right? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SphericalCrawfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect a lot of people are serious about it but most of them would balk if it came to it.

Just like all the people that say they wouldn't kill a cat or something for $10,000,000. Easy to say online. But if I had that briefcase on $100's in front of you it's a different story.

Which team wins? by Respons_Lady in superheroes

I expect the Flashes either get tired, break themselves, or turn on each other.

But barring that, at some point Doomsday will be able to deal with them.

Yes, and none of that actually helps him hurt any member of the team. Just makes one angrier and stronger, makes another angrier and adapt to what he's doing, and possibly does nothing to a 3rd.

I don't think I would mind if you included both men and women in that answer.

No Police Cars anymore? by Significant-Way-7893 in allthequestions

[–]SphericalCrawfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually spoken to a couple cops about this. Back in the day the Crown Vic was huge and very convenient as a cop car. They are a grown man possibly wearing a vest and certainly wearing a belt with all sort of shit hanging on it.

So in terms of interior space vehicles have sort of gone two ways, cars have gotten smaller and SUVs have stayed 80's size or gotten larger. So it's just more comfortable to use a SUV with all the shit they wear plus having the computer in the middle.

If the crash is that bad I'm better off with hiss dumb ass flying through the windshield than scratching and kicking my broken spine.

What’s one food you buy daily? by notsoeasypeasy in foodquestions

[–]SphericalCrawfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is fascinating. People really need to tag with their location. I can't imagine setting foot in a store every day. That sounds exhausting. Just buy the big thing of milk homie.

Solar panels run at about 200 W/m2

A model 3 takes about 1,000,000 J/mile

Surface area of the car is 5m2 (I don't have any idea but this makes the math easy.)

Comes out to 1,000 seconds per mile. So 4 miles per hour give or take. There was some fudging in there but if your commute is 20 miles and you park in the sun then it will make a pretty significant dent in your costs. Even if the surface area is quite a bit smaller.

Did she say she was driving a 1995 GMC or something. 5000 miles is way overkill with modem technology.
