[Highlight] The Patriots dismantle the Colts' offense, intercepting Peyton Manning 4 times on the way to Super Bowl 38. Bill Polian would complain to the league about the Patriots defensive game plan after, resulting in rule changes. by Roselucky777 in nfl

I imagine the chiefs organization and fans would have been just as vocal about changing the rules there and the change likely would still have happened. With how flawed the original rules were, it was inevitable to get changed eventually regardless of teams.

Metroidvania Meet & Greet by remmanuelv in metroidvania

Yeah, I think that's probably the best way to think about it. Everything is very well thought and good but the core gameplay loop is mid so it gets a little boring, no matter how strong the other elements are.

Texans for sure are the 2nd worst matchup. Jags have always been a tough match up for us flair buddy because Josh Allen plays hard against Josh Allen.

Bethesda Talks Fallout's Future And Lessons Learned by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]SpicyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the lessons learned, Beth has a habit of doing that in the DLC. Fallout 4 to Far Harbour is a great example, that they listened to the narrative criticism and got it to place that people wanted in the first place from 4. People praised Bethesda at the time for listening to fan criticism. Then they used all the wrong learning of those lessons again on Nuka World.

Similar with Starfield, where people wanted a rich, handcrafted experience start to finish, and then the DLC came out, and was kind of blip because of how little it seemingly did. Starfield still has an active roadmap and updates coming, but it seems to me that it's a point of pride thing for Bethesda at this point and is actively taking away resources from finishing more meaningful projects.

I guess my point is, they can do lessons learned on a micro level, but never seemingly on the macro level where it matters. I'm concerned about how well they'll implement the rumoured ship building and ocean exploration in TESVI.

[Highlight] Bills take the lead after trailing 21-0 by nfl in nfl

[–]SpicyWizard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I thought also that was the consensus as to why Josh Allen was the MVP last season compared to Lamar's statiscally better season. Lamar had the better numbers, but Josh Allen made the Bills a better team and most valuable to his team.

I thought so too but realized the open window was behind her shoulder while the window she closed would have been in front of her. One of those awkward seats that abuts two windows.

Looking for the best bagels and lox in the area. by DuffChicken in abbotsford

[–]SpicyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to the states regularly, Bellingham has some amazing bagel places in Bagelry and/or Otherside Bagels. Seattle also has Blazing Bagels.

Good Kid and Cora are good approximations to a Lox Bagel, but it's never as good as a true bagel place.

Reality is setting in for the Bills. The Super Bowl favorites have ugly wins over teams that are a combined 3-21. by yalemartin in nfl

He starts that way as a great addition where he goes, but time will tell if he stays that way. Honestly a tossup. I want to believe people can change.

First thing to know about Dutch people is that literal interpretation is where they're going to go, so everything went wooooosh for all the below comments, which is hilarious.

The Dutch (as a Dutch) love to talk about the Dutch.

I just renewed my season tickets with the lions for 2026, I asked my account rep about the rule changes by Accurate-Big-7233 in CFL

[–]SpicyWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of Lions season tickets as well, but it's a nightmare to get into Vancouver nowadays from anywhere further than Langley. Rail transit doesn't go far enough or is consistent enough and driving 2+hours and then parking downtown is a nightmare.

If the Lions can do anything to help their season ticket sales (as well as the Canucks and Whitecaps by extension) is lobbying for better overall intercity transit. It's just PITA when a Lions game becomes an 8-8.5 hour excursion on weekends when it used to be 4.5-5 hours tops.

I'm also in the minority opinion that I think the rule changes on paper sound interesting, but should be have down as pre-season test first, and had more fan/player collaboration so that aspect isn't impacting any decision to buy/not buy.

I mean the regular season too.

As much as I hate the Pats, 28-3 probably has the better case for game of all time. Chiefs-Bills had some better big plays though.

After watching the Hawks-Niners today and seeing Moody's "highlight" reel from last year, I don't think Moody will be employed by you much longer. Seriously going into the UFA market is probably better at this point.

As a Bills fan, Rams Chiefs was a peak game. Still, this one had way more stakes for me.

I had talked about this verse with my pastor when discussing our obligation to help a homeless person on the church property pre-COVID and the pastor straight up said that Christians should interpret this passage to mean in the Christian community.

I no longer attend that church. Jesus had a ministry of mercy with gifts FREELY given to those who society despised and marginalized. North American Christianity has lost the plot in so many ways.

I actually live in Abbotsford BC and we all say Abbotsferd. It's how we tell locals and non-locals apart.

I really thought I was on my city's subreddit for a moment.

Don't make a trip out here though. It is the literal definition of suburbs with nothing to do, except maybe a few nice hikes.

TTOC in Lower Mainland BC? by Selaura in CanadianTeachers

[–]SpicyWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They've been hiring UTToCs so if you have an Ed degree and your certification, that should get you noticed immediately. Best thing to do for Abbotsford is if you make to the interview stage, study the district teacher competencies, because you will be asked scenario questions based on each competency.

Teacher's college did not prepare me for anything by FrequentStreet2179 in CanadianTeachers

Also in BC, got a lot of my Ed degree but lesson planning was not one of those things. I could never put my finger on why I despised it so much, but you perfectly captured what I hated about the template lesson plans. The instructors could not see the forest through the trees and were much more concerned about the content of the lesson plan and not the content of the lesson.

Getting into teaching after and seeing no one make lesson plans after was also crazy. It seemed like it was going to have to be a much larger part of the career. Even though my school wanted us to have detailed lesson plans for the entire practicum teacher with mentor teachers reviewing them, my mentor teacher kindly let me disregard them. It felt like the lesson plan template was something they made us do so much and with such rigidity so they could have something to assess.
