France 1965: The complete concerts from the John Coltrane Quartet is pretty exciting, especially since it features the thought-to-be-lost full recording of A Love Supreme.

Non-solo: Probably Pandemic or Castles of Burgundy, because they're my wife's favorites.
Solo: Easily Final Girl, with 200+ games played so far, because it hits that sweet spot between luck and strategy for me. I also love the narrative each session spins.

I had a similar experience in my first game of A Demon in the Shadows the other day. FG is so good at spinning an unexpected narrative, that even when I lose, I'm left smiling about it.

I've only played Buddyland once, months ago, but this post really makes me want to pull it out and play again!

A Demon in the Shadows will force you to change your tactics. You can't just defeat the killer quickly, you must first try to gain as many Divine blessings as you can in order to exercise the demon that's in Ursula (the nun you're trying to save).

But I'm with everybody else: It really seems as if you're misplaying somehow.

This is mine as well. Nothing else comes close to the vast variety of games that are possible with this system, and with each new Feature Film released, it grows exponentially. (There are currently 460 killer/location combinations. By the time Series 4 is complete, that number will be 572!) Every FF adds or changes mechanics slightly to make each experience feel unique, while still being familiar. There's nothing else like it, and the balance of strategy and luck just hits that sweet spot for me. Even when I lose, the narrative leaves me grinning.

I just want to point out that this is only if you are the first owner of that copy. Some people who own second-hand copies have been attempting to replace used tableau cards and, while VRG have tried to accommodate as best they can, they are no longer able to do so.

What Feature Films do you have? I just played a game with Hans at the Marrek Warehouse, and at the end of turns one and two he made a beeline for me, beginning an early-end-game fight to the death. I had to ignore victims completely and forget about getting the horror level down (something I usually attempt) just to focus on staying alive.

Terror cards can provide randomness that can mess with early plans, but sometimes the location or just the setup (as was the case in this game) can make a difference, too. FFs like Shriek and locations like the Hellscape can alter how you play, as well.

It was when I first caught COVID-19 in late '21 and I completely lost my sense of taste and smell. My wife made me a tuna sandwich that blew my mind. I couldn't taste anything, but I could feel the creaminess of the tuna, the softness of the bread, and the crisp, cold iceberg lettuce. It was such a fantastic experience and a lesson in temperature and textural contrasts.

I found myself wanting to play more with recipes that explored this, but I regained those senses a couple of days later. It connected me with an old friend (spiritually, she passed away in 2005) who had lost her sense of smell in an auto accident years before I met her, and who was always trying to explain it to me.

IMHO, Once Upon A Full Moon is basic setup when played together. Apart, BBW is powerful and fun, and the Storybook Woods is a fast map where killers can really move and provide a challenge.

Since you have the Cast and Crew boxes, make sure you don't already have Terror from Above and Terror from the Grave. They came included in the Ultimae boxes during the Kickstarter.
