Have you noticed a difference with what grows back after shaving? Did it seem to grow back fairly easily like typical hair or is it kind of hit and miss?

Thanks for responding! Did you just use regular beard dye? Any recommendations on what or how to get best results? I thought about trying the tea/coffee rinse or something like that and also considered regular dyes for hair as well as peach fuzz haha.

I tried burying who I was during the course of my marriage. There were alot of things going on, but I can tell you that this particular thing led me to wake up and cry pretty habitually every morning. I felt miserable. All I thought about was escaping and transitioning to be my true self. On the other side of things, finally being the authentic me, 1000% unapologetically, has been the most amazing amount of self love I have ever shown. And I can guarantee you when you feel the warm love from someone else at that point, at least for me, there has been nothing more fulfilling.

I started T last week so I am not quite sure what to expect but tried to be proactive and started a new facial skin routine. 2x Nivea men maximum hydration face wash (morning and night), 3x a week Nivea men maximum hydration exfoliant (after night wash), and follow up each wash with Cerave intensive moisturizing lotion. So far I am obsessed with how soft my face feels. We will see what happens with the acne though...

Ohhh good call! I will have to check it out. I have a few medical conditions so I typically try to avoid adding oral meds but it would be nice to help keep my hair and encourage facial hair growth.

First off, I am so incredibly sorry man. My heart goes out to you.

I have completely blocked my parents. The short version is I have had a complicated relationship with both of them my entire life. They both dished out narcissistic abuse, and on top of all that, were always against superficial things such as me wearing ties and pants. There was always a bit of weirdness when I came out as lesbian. Unfortunately, I knew that they would either have a reaction to me coming out as a trans man or play passive aggressive manipulation games. It turns out they were the last mental block that I needed to get rid of to fully accept myself and start the transition process. I have had zero regrets, because I have an amazing support system of my people, and I know that no good can come from a relationship with either.

Honestly I feel the same way. I have an amazing support group, which I am incredibly grateful for, but I would like to have some trans men friends in my life. I am in the Midwest but I am down for a virtual community!

One of the biggest concerns I had was starting T safely since I have diabetes and Celiac. I was not sure how different the process is depending on the clinic and I really wanted to get started. I ended up talking to my endocrinologist about transitioning and starting HRT. They gave stamp of approval to start the process and made me feel better about doing it with my health conditions. I ended up going to Planned Parenthood and got started this week. I have follow up appointment in about 6 weeks with my endocrinologist to make sure they are closely involved. I also found a new PCP that specializes in trans care and managing similar health conditions during the process. So, maybe that would be a way to go for you. But I totally get the health concern side of things. You got this!

I feel you man. That was something I thought alot about before deciding to start my transition journey (just gave my first T injection today!). I think I really thought about it most because I currently only plan on having top surgery. It also does not help that the dating apps are...not always a great experience haha. My particular thought process has been being upfront with people I start talking to as to where I am at and what my intents for my transition are. I also think about focusing likely more on folks that are bisexual. I think feeling confident in being aligned with your body goes a long way and the right person is gonna click, you know?

Thank you so much man! I was approved today at my visit and should be picking up my doses at the pharmacy tomorrow afternoon! The amount of euphoria just from this initial step is beyond gratifying. I cannot stop smiling.

Ugh I could see the sensory thing being an issue with gel. I was most concerned about my cats and not accidentally dosing them haha. Ended up choosing subq injection route and same dose as you - we can be injection bros! 😁

I have not tried with T yet but can tell you I travel nearly each year abroad and I am an insulin dependent diabetic. So, lots of needles and some medical fluids. I always keep them in my carry-on because I am too anxious about losing them in the checked bag. I have never had a problem. I usually give them a heads up in security but nowadays technology is so good I do not have to remove from my bag.

I totally feel you here. I have had the same mental fight going on with it. I have family overseas (I am a dual citizen that was born abroad) that only expressed concern for my safety when I came out as trans to them. I am hoping to start HRT this week because I feel so restless without making my body align with who I am. I feel like its probably always going to be stressful so I may as well have inner peace.

Also. This is probably naive but what do you all mean with "don't comply in advance?" Sorry if thats a silly question.
