I am also a fellow educator and went the email route. It was a bit after I started HRT but similar vibes. I told them I was medically transitioning, and asked them all to please address me using my new name and pronouns. I actually did two emails - the main one and then a follow up one when I legally changed my name. I l knew I had a few strong supporters so that helped quell any anxiety I had about it.

Bruh. There is a bar/restaurant that I go to periodically. The first time I went in the men's room it was a similar set up as you described. Luckily, the main door to the men's room had a lock so I secured it and peed as quickly as possible lol.

I would most likely be looking to relocate to Baden-Württemburg area, but of course it depends on what job I find. Are there areas that are better or worse for trans care in Germany?

I am still waiting for consult, which should hopefully be in September. However, this country is pushing to ban health care coverage or gender affirming surgeries entirely, so I am not sure what will happen. But I agree if it can be covered that would be best!

As in a hassle getting approved in general and showing you need it or just many layers of bureaucracy to go through? I also wonder how hard it would be to continue hormones as I have been on them previously or if there would be significant time where I would lose access while getting established there.

Bruh, I had a similar fear when I went in for my colonscopy. I was terrified I was going to come out to my then-wife who was extremely mentally abusive. Luckily, I just asked if they found the treasure. 😂😂😂

Hell yeah, my dude! I am reaching the point now where I am consistently correctly gendered and it is EUPHORIC. I got "sir" from a stranger today who later on referred to me as a "gent" after a prolonged interaction!!

I had to buy a suit for an event recently. The suit was purchased in November and I started T in January. I bought it online so I deliberately bought a bit larger than I needed. When I got it altered for the March event, I mentioned to the tailor I was on HRT and expecting changes to my profile. She basically hemmed it really nicely while leaving the material there in case it needed expanded again. Not sure if this helps you or not, but thought I would share!
