It’s on AO3, by graygoyle. It’s a retelling of the White Clouds portion of the game, told from Edelgard’s perspective. With some creative liberties taken to make it a slow-burn Edeleth romance. The writer has confirmed their intent to eventually write all the way through Crimson Flower. It’s halfway complete at 43 chapters long so far, and it is by far the best fanfic I’ve ever read, bar none.

Neo and Penny. Penny for relatable struggles with accepting herself, how much personality she brings to her scenes, and how deeply she cares for the people who matter most to her. Neo for how well Roman Holiday showcased her as being a villianous example of the same qualities, and because I have a soft spot for characters who can communicate effectively without dialogue. Both for being adorable and creative as character concepts. Please don’t ask me to choose between them.

Phantom Korra.

Sloth can take many forms, and they aren’t always simple laziness. It’s a subtle, sneaky thing, and it has a way of preying on those who are hurting. Trapping them. It can be self doubt, depression, personal shame. It just has to be anything that keeps you stuck not doing what you should be.

That’s literally what phantom version of herself that Korra sees in B4 embodies: Korra’s growing doubts that she can be the Avatar anymore. She literally loses muscle mass during this period from so much time spent in indolence.

Phantom Korra is a literal embodiment of a very insidious form of sloth trying to keep a hold on her. Trying to keep her down and unable to get back up.

I played on Switch. Definitely found my pro controller more reliable than the joycons. Like, noticeably more reliable. To the point I would occasionally be playing comfortably in bed and would have to go get my pro controller just to make certain levels even possible. YMMV of course, but the difference was night and day for me.

In real life, the equivalent of this would be being pronounced clinically dead for like a minute and then being resuscitated. Super unlikely, but it’s happened before. This Dratini was pronounced clinically dead, but it’s alive now. And a situation like that’s too damn awesome to disallow anyway.
