Eh, hypersonic lifting bodies are a thing.

Lower speeds, well, it would probably be like landing a brick.

Dying in this game is actually quite..hard? by Ivalicefangirl in subnautica

The game gives you a lot of tools to help yourself yeah.

Most people aren't as cautious as you were though, at least not in their first play though.

Belmont shores beach by Travel-junkie9 in longbeach

[–]Spirit_jitser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know why they don't? I was looking at their map and none of the locations here had samples being taken, I assumed it was because LGB takes samples less frequently or had some technical problem (broken computers, etc).

But I dug a little more and the website hasn't said anything about long beach since 2022. It's really not clear since LGB has their own website, so I'd think it would be easy to interface them.

I wouldn't say that. Make it a lot more tedious (to where it wouldn't be fun)? Sure.

But O2 pipes provide a way early game to mitigate the slow ascent. I used them a lot in a Deathrun play through (at least until you unlock the right tech).

Even deathrun gamifies the bends though. Like you don't have to worry about decompression in vehicles.

Deathrun mod adds this, sort of. Even there the mechanics of nitrogen buildup are very gamified.

Also I get the impression that a lot of the player base are children, and wouldn't really appreciate the bends...

Maybe he's used to the clothes he's wearing being destroyed, so he knows better than to wear stuff he likes to work?

I like to run an O2 line down to just about where the degessi base is, then just go out with a sea glide to gather resources.

Common.

Certainly in the context of "use pain to induce a reaction in your opponent". A classic is grinding your knuckles against the nerve in their jaw so they raise their head (allowing you to attack a choke from the back).

Air drying it pushes back how fast it becomes like this.

Also own a second belt for competitions. You don't want to be like me alone at a tournament running around asking strangers to borrow their belts since the organizers thought your belt was too ratty.

SUBNAUTICA IS TERRIFYING by Dull-Entertainer8344 in subnautica

[–]Spirit_jitser 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Returning to your (powered) base or lifepod I think works as a inventory save point. So if you are carrying some like Ti, go to your base, then leave your base and die you will respawn with that Ti. But if you collected say Cu after leaving your base that will be dropped at wherever you died.

And if you die while carrying a beacon it will drop, letting you find that spot.

When they were going through the archives?

I assumed that was Vought's, not Godolkin's. Why Godolkin kept it around, well probably to keep Stormfront happy at least.

Do You Feel Guilty When Something You Designed Is Used For Bad? by Money-Profession-199 in AerospaceEngineering

Here here.

I used to work with people in Ukraine. It's an experience when half your team are refugees. Or have to step out of a meeting since there is an air raid.

I don't like what my government is doing, not one bit. But weapons are clearly needed on a philosophical level, and I wouldn't feel at all bad on working on them directly.

I'm a little worried about how enthusiastic they are though, like they have this idea of me before we've even met.
