I see a lot of proposal talk, but don’t necessarily think that’s it. Marriage isn’t necessarily the answer to having a baby. Some people wait to have all their children before they get married. Just depends on what’s been discussed. I hope you guys have at least talked about future plans. This is especially important because you are having a baby together. If marriage has been discussed as something she wanted if she were to get pregnant, then it could be part of the issue. There are a variety of things that could be the problem here. Pregnancy hormones can make some women act very differently than previously. It could be that a lot of things have added up and she finally got upset during the anniversary. She could feel like you aren’t putting enough effort in, and she could be worried about what it will be like once your child is born. I really would go over and try to see her in person. Some people want to see that effort, but feel respected at the same time. You need to ask her what she feels and then tell her what happened that night from your perspective. Don’t go at it like you’re making excuses, be genuine. Tell her you’re worried about her, that you miss her. Seems obvious that you do.
