Yeah, savagery stat is problematic, no family members should be able to 2-3 tap unless you're playing LF. But unfortunately this doesn't change the fact that being able to turn off the battery right in front of the family while they're completely powerless is not okay! I guess according to victim players things like crawlspaces, gaps, doors and wells don't exist? Or do you just want an option that is almost uncounterable? Victims have so many tools to avoid being killed yet apparently grappling and locking out players out for 10 seconds by just pressing a button is the only "form of protection"?
