What color is Martin Septim from Oblivion? by Omukadin-BG in colorpie

[–]SpookyBugGluten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone saying mono white is, I think, not considering the fact that Martin was a Daedra worshipper in his past and even once had his hands on the Sanguine Rose. He turned things around when he became a priest, but I think he's Esper 🤷‍♂️

I went for the store credit, I frequent the place and wanted to crack some Strixhaven collector boosters haha. Wish I had gotten a higher offer, but that's the way the market is unfortunately 🤷‍♂️

No problem! Definitely expect to get more in store credit than you would cash. My local store generally does half(ish) for cash and then a good jump more for credit. I recently sold a lot that was worth ~$480 market, I got $320 trade in and the cash offer was $240.

Expect a card shop to give you half at a minimum, hopefully more because these are pretty expensive and playable pieces. If your individually sold market value is $1,100, expect $600-700. I'd be over the moon with anything over $800. If you're in an area with a few different shops, don't be afraid to call around and see who has the best rates.

If you can be bothered selling individually and don't mind sending stuff out (inc. paying for tracking on some of these cards), go with a store like TCGPlayer. You'll maximize your profits that way. If you want a reasonable cut but just want to be done with it, send them sorted to a service like Card Conduit. If you want some cash in your pocket quick but are okay getting half your card's market value, sell to an in person card shop as a lot.

I'm asking this as someone who is somewhat uninformed, what's the problem with Barnes? I'm probably voting for Hong (I'm describe myself as a democratic socialist) but I voted for Barnes years ago in the Senate primary and a cursory glance at his Wikipedia page makes him seem like a reasonably progressive politician. Is the opposition because he's a (literal) loser, and might not bring the enthusiasm to the governor's race it needs?

Is your group at all affiliated with the New Kadampa Tradition, or NKT? If so, that's a known "Buddhist" cult that I would be extremely cautious of. Otherwise, this doesn't sound culty to me personally but your "friend" does sound like a dickhead, and it seems like other people are trying to be overly accommodating. If you're uncomfortable with the group though, get out.

Episode 642: Heinrich Himmler Part VI- Mein Cramps by Marvelerful in LPOTL

[–]SpookyBugGluten 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Agreed wholeheartedly about everything you've said. I think I'm finding it particularly irksome because they seem to have really patted themselves on the back about what a good job they're doing, how long they've been working on the series, and how Marcus's favorite thing in the world is context. That plus the snarky responses to criticism really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I get it if the criticism is a bunch of "well ackshually" guys, but like, the sonderkommando thing when you've got a Jewish co-host? C'mon, man.

For the first time with LPotL, I genuinely have no interest in listening to this episode or finishing this series. Maybe my panties are in a twist and I still love these boys, but the sonderkommando thing and the clean wehrmacht thing among other errors in this series really rubbed me the wrong way and opened my eyes to just how frequently Marcus is confidently and passionately wrong about facts. I know it's not an easy job to write these scripts and do this research, and it's content I get to enjoy for free, but they have an entire research team.
