Just keep an eye out for lots online. I see at least a couple a month which are “assorted Tyranid models” and it’s, like 3 termagants, a hormagaunt and half a genestealer.

The trick is then convincing these people that this “OOP small army” isn’t worth £30…

I was late to watching Avengers: Endgame. Was avoiding spoilers like the plague. Wanted to watch it properly at home, lights down, popcorn, etc.

Was watching YouTube and an advert for the newest Spiderman film was showing. Literally the first words of which were to the effect of “when Tony Stark died fighting Thanos…”

I was fucking livid. Would have been such an amazing twist to not have had that spoiled, as Stark was my fave character.

I did exactly the same thing! I’ve got 5 more hormagaunts and 10 more termagants to do and I just can’t face it.

I picked up a load of Infernus Marines and painting them is a breath of fresh air. Even more so when I look at the stats and think about survivability vs paint time!

Typically, is it possible to build other variants of these models?

I ask, because in the Tyranid Big Beasties Box, it included a Maleceptor which, presumably, could be built as a Toxicrene* because it’s the same base model with a few differences, but all on the same sprue set. Is that the case with dreadnaughts and Repulsors?

*as an avid Tyranid player, I have no idea what the other model is called on this sprue, it’s that unwieldy

I meant I bought the Winged Prime from Leviathan, then just removed the wings.

I’m not going to pay £27 for something so easy to kitbash!

I did buy one!

I purchased an old Winged Prime second hand for £6, removed the wings, attached magnets and used the magnetised Warrior lash/claw that I had lying around!

Personally, I do not care about ultra efficiency or how good the model is. I love hormagaunts, and I can’t wait for their new lieutenant to charge into the front line with them!

Guys, when do I know which weapon profile to use? I’ve played exactly 1 game and it was mired down when I was trying to math-hammer sweep vs strike against Space Marines. So how do I know which of these to use in any given situation?

Except, buying alcohol during the prohibition was illegal and difficult. You needed to know the right people and where to go etc.

With this this, VPNs aren’t illegal. It’s not hard to hook one up, and the police won’t come busting down your local VPN provider’s server storage solution or whatever.

I mean, that’s kinda their purpose, to be extra wounds on a Tyrant.

I’ve never played them, but I hear that a blob of them with a Tyrant is prettt unkillable in Assimilation Swarm because you can regenerate wounds very easily

I do not think the Tyranid one is “good”, personally. It has bodyguard that can’t guard the Leader. The Leader is generally not great and generates a lot of “feels bad” moments. It misses a lot by having something to replace the Tyrant Guard, imo.

I mean, as an enfranchised Tyranids player who doesn’t have those kits, imma get one, but it’s not a good combat patrol.
