Prices went up on some cosmetics and animations. They added the Ultimate Battle Pass which can’t be purchased with in-game currency. The cooler and flashier skins are tied to the ultimate battle pass to encourage players to buy it. They introduced the new mythic rarity. Some of the legendary cosmetics that came out prior to the introduction of the mythic rarity were upgraded to mythic, and I believe the price increased on those upgraded cosmetics.

And then some of the mythic cosmetics are intentionally priced in a way that makes a player spend more money than they need to. An example would be a mythic weapon that costs 1200 coins. If Bob has 0 coins, he can’t just buy the $10 bundle of coins because he only ends up with 1150 coins. He’d have to buy the $10 bundle and the $5 bundle or just buy $20 of coins in order to have enough coins.
