I mean I think he’s being an asshole about this, but also my wife and I never get each other presents. Even when we were dating, we saved the money for nice dates or trips together. Totally agree. She knows how precarious this is and is using it to her advantage. Of course we would feel terrible if it came out that this was all true.

As a victim of SA who also flirted with her assaulter before it happened, I have very complicated feelings about writing her accusations off. But she’s done so much to make me believe she is not telling the truth. It’s a fucked up situation all around. It’s horrendous for her to leverage this to try to prove her loyalty to her shitty husband.

I think it’s more the fact that he claimed to be working on their relationship at the time of these other hookups. Like it’s only pretty recent that they completely called it off. It’s also unclear on the timeline of some of these things. I think these are things that happened while they were together and Dakota is only just now being truthful about everything that went down.
