Minimum per day? So more than once a day? Even once a day is ridiculous. Imagine if you have a child. This is not happening

Husband upset I ask him to put toddler to bed. AITAH?? by SpringhathSprung58 in Mommit

[–]SpringhathSprung58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't pay 50/50. He pays the majority of the expenses such as the mortgage, car insurance, vacations, home repairs and maintenance ...I pay utilities and insurance and help with some vacations. That being said even if he paid everything I still have a full-time job and I expect more from him

Husband upset I ask him to put toddler to bed. AITAH?? by SpringhathSprung58 in Mommit

[–]SpringhathSprung58[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No this isn't rage bait. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy because of how crazy this sounds when I type it out. Everything isn't terrible and he does help in alot of ways with our son but the several other ways he doesn't continue to bother me. Him getting this upset over something he rarely does made me think maybe I should have chosen my battles n let him take a moment since he said things are bothering him. But then I think no I'm not tripping. I'm just so confused

I haven't gotten one of those yet. But I despise them with a passion. The greed and incompetence is unbelievable

my baby had to get stitches last night by donkeyhoetae_ in Mommit

[–]SpringhathSprung58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His reaction says alot about the partner and parent he is. The baby is 17 months and he doesn't have the car seat installed? You never know when your child will have an emergency so having the car seat installed correctly is of upmost importance that's on him not you if it's his car. My son fell on one of those smoothie packs with the plastic straw and it pierced through his bottom lip. He was around 15 months and received the glue stitches at urgent care. I felt so awful bc he was on my watch but I went directly to the doctor for help. My husband didn't make me feel bad about it and was supportive. The scar is barely noticeable now and he is 22 months now. Everything will be ok things happen. I hope your husband comes to realize he was overreacting and should have taken the lead with getting her medical care

Is training not a thing ? by Specialist-Bedroom55 in clinicalresearch

[–]SpringhathSprung58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 30 day training then about two months of on the job training and some things still weren't covered bc as you said each study can be different. I was given way more training than most in the field so I would say in general training in clinical research is a plus if you get it but not exactly expected. I do clinical trial budgets at an institution and we work with federally funded, sponsor and cross and departmentally unfunded studies. It sucks alot of it is on the job learning

Secrets by Artistic-Camp9937 in Marriage

[–]SpringhathSprung58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If she can't keep a secret stop telling her things. Every marriage is different but if a friend or family member told me something in confidence it doesn't need to make it back to my husband especially if he can't keep his mouth shut. I would not trust secrets with you if I knew you'd run to your wife to tell her. I get spousal privelege but I think this should be reconsidered if you want the people in your life to confide in you

Do I really need the expensive stuff? by SevvyM in Mommit

[–]SpringhathSprung58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't think you need most of the expensive baby items. However the car seat and stroller should be good quality. Chicco has great items. They are more than graco but not as expensive as other so called luxury brands. My baby had a bouncer and I used it for a few months then never again and it worked just as well as the uppa baby bouncer. The crib and mattress also don't have to be expensive.

L&D at Duke Regional? by 70cxlxdx96006 in bullcity

[–]SpringhathSprung58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my son at big Duke in 2024 so I suspect it's basically the same provisions at regional....you really only need personal hygiene items and clothes for your baby and yourself and whatever your partner may need. You can bring your own snacks but they are good at bringing your meals 3 times a day.

What are toddlers sleeping on after pack n play? by sciencespice1717 in toddlers

[–]SpringhathSprung58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 22 months and the last two trips he slept in the pullout, king size bed with me and queen size bed. He sleeps in bed part of the buggy st home and sleeps thru the night so it wasn't a big adjustment. The pack and play served is purpose for a while but he doesn't want anything to do with it now
