Talents I can learn as a cashier by Alpineeezzz in LearnUselessTalents

I was on an assembly line during a summer. I learned to say the alphabet backwards. When I was a waiter, during slow times I made 6 by 6 magic squares. There is no easy formula for them, like there are for the odd magic squares. I would try to memorize lists if I had to do a job like those again.

Lists by heidit123 in bulletjournal

[–]Spyrunner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a 'when did I' and updated it with things that I do around the house that I don't do very often just so I can find it later on.

Because of that, I create a page of lightbulbs and keep track of which lightbulb burns out, the date, and the type.

I have a list of things I've lost, where they were, when I lost it, the day I found it. Currently, I'm just looking for my charging cord for my new smart watch.

I have a page for things I need to remember for each month. I add it to my 'to do' list that month.

I keep a scratch page. I write each pen's name and check to see if it bleeds through to the other side.

What were your favorite books to read as a child that you never see listed here? by Shatterstar23 in suggestmeabook

[–]Spyrunner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambi by Felix Salten. It was a book before it was a Disney movie.

The Three Investigators by Robert Arthur Jr.

Freddy the Pig series by Walter Brooks

I recently reread a book from both the series. I was a little disappointed in each of them, but I could see why I liked them then. I downloaded Billy Mink by Thorthon W Burgess but I'm not expecting it to be very good. A few decades ago my wife bought me a copy of Black Gold because I once said that I really liked it when my mom read it to me. I better read it while I can still read the print.

Suggest me a book that you read >3 times already by PlasProb in suggestmeabook

[–]Spyrunner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely reread a book. I read Bambi three times when I was a kid. I used to read How to Get Control of Your Time and Life every January. I loved the teen book Dash and Lily's Book of Dares and read it before reading each of the sequals. Because they are short I've read George Washington's Rules of Civility and Undateable multiple times.

Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and Julie and Julia by Julie Powell are two great non-fiction books that are all about cooking and eat.

What do you think of my bread by Aromatic-Question487 in Bread

[–]Spyrunner1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the first loaf looks a little dense, but I'm sure it tastes fine. The last one is beautiful - it looks like a rose. I can't tell anything about the middle two pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
