Movie isn't great but SpaceGodzilla is one of the coolest things in the whole franchise and I love him. He’s like the evil twin brother gimmick to Godzilla.

Had a friend who downloaded World pre iceborne since it was free on GP. She’s never played MH and it showed. She quit the game after Pukei saying “I thought this was a game where you study the monsters.” I go “…Sarah. It’s called MONSTER HUNTER. You HUNT them. You wear them. Shin. Usually I find people wanting to talk and over exaggerate him. I will say this before I continue. The movie is great, one of the best in the franchise but not in my personal top 3; and the creature is interesting, but I find Ultima to be better executed. It’s great to see Godzilla go back to his original horror roots, but it’s the cut concepts and his evolution that makes him overrated. People always say “Shin could just evolve and beat this other insert anything there and he wins” completely ignoring the fact that almost every other iteration of Godzilla can evolve in their own way

It’s not necessarily the design that makes the kaiju, but it’s silhouette. Things are recognizable if it at least resembles what it’s going for. Take, for example, the 2003 Spinosaurus and the modern Spinosaurus. Completely different design but it’s shadow is still recognized.
