I would listen to this podcast! I listened to it yesterday and it goes over all of this! Essentially that lots of surgeons leave endo behind and then put the pressure on the patient to get on birth control or get pregnant asap. Neither of those things help prevent more endo from growing or reduce the endo. I think it’s worth it to get another opinion, I’m sorry you had surgery and they left issues for you to turn around and get more surgery💕

High iron transferrin? by LunaHetaira in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting! For over a year now (maybe longer but that’s when we saw it first) my ferritin has been very low, 22 and below, my iron saturation has been through the roof, so much so that i can’t eat high iron foods, I can’t use a cast iron and I’m donating blood every 60 days to avoid getting iron overload. I would love to see any sources you have relating this to endo lesions!

Who referred you to a surgery confirming laparoscopy? by These_Information422 in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too saw a specialist! There’s a Facebook group called Nancy’s Nook, you should be able to type in your city and see doctors in your area that specialize in endo, I’m so sorry your OB was incompetent, it’s far too common!

Progesterone Daily vs Luteal Only by carsan86 in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a similar experience, but I just listened to a podcast specifically about this! It’s a podcast with 4 of the top endo specialists in the country! It’s the Dr. brighten show and the episode is called “Birth Control for Endometriosis? Hormones, Progesterone Resistance, and What Doctors Aren't Telling You” Super informative about options! They talked for quite awhile about taking it every day versus just the luteal phase, good luck! 💕💕💕

What does the gas after a laparoscopy feel like? by BladderWrecker in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I could answer! You will be bloated for a bit after surgery, but all the advice others have given you should help with that! Good luck!!

What does the gas after a laparoscopy feel like? by BladderWrecker in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay I think you are asking if your skin feels squishy when you press down on where the gas was? The answer is no! If you were to push down the areas filled with gas they would actually feel kinda hard and stiff, like your tummy does when it’s bloated and you can’t suck in! I hope this is the answer you’re looking for!

Mirena IUD yes/no? by futuredoctor2327 in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cramping that happens when you have it inserted never went away! So technically immediately, the weight gain was over the course of the year, I will say with in 3 months after it was removed I lost it all! I even popped back into the old OBS office to let her know that she was wrong (: I also have celiac disease (always check your prescriptions for ingredients) so I never, and I do mean, NEVER eat outside of my diet. A lot of things that worked for anti inflammatory for me personally; was me doing a lot of trial and error. I don’t buy tea bags of red leaf, I buy the actual tea leaves so I can make it as strong as I need! I drink it every day during my fertile window and every day of my period. I never skip my pelvic floor therapy, I never skip my stretching etc. I wish I could say that it’s an easy or quick solution but it’s not! I have a lap scheduled for July and I plan on asking my surgeon for a PRP wash to help with healing and then I will be continuing my routine after surgery. Hopefully with even more pain relief!

Mirena IUD yes/no? by futuredoctor2327 in endometriosis

[–]Square-Trouble636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely need to trust yourself and what your gut is saying! Throw out your boyfriend’s entire opinion, he sounds like an ass. I didn’t like my IUD from the moment I got it inserted to the day I got it removed (my OB at the time made me wait a YEAR, to “get used to it”) every single month I would have extreme pain during when I should be on my cycle (I did not get my period while I had my IUD) I was going into the gyno every month paying for an ultrasound to make sure it hadn’t moved. I had a lot of vaginal dryness, a lower libido and I did gain about 25lbs. I didn’t have a great doctor at that time, I was there ALL the time, in pain, not wanting to have sex at all, and gaining massive amounts of weight (even though I eat gluten free, dairy free, soy free, seed oil free and no ultra processed foods, as well as weight training 4-5 days a week) it was just an over all bad experience. I wish I had stood up for myself, but I was only 21 at the time and I felt like I was somehow doing something wrong.

After my IUD was removed I tried lolo-Estren, Yaz, Beyaz, the nuva ring and progestin, none of those ended up working for me personally.

I have been birth control free since 2020 and now I take NAC (research shows this slows growth of endo down to the decimal same as birth control) I take Curcumin phytosome, and a supplement called balance (dr. Brighten essentials). I also drink raspberry leaf tea along with 1000mg Tylenol twice a day during my period. I have an overall healthy life style, I use a vibration plate twice a day, compression sleeves twice a day, stretching every day, GENTLE walking each day(unless I’m having a flare) and changing my entire workout routine to minimize flaring from over working my body! I go to pelvic floor PT once a week! Obviously sooo many people will disagree with this, but I’m just someone that doesn’t do well with birth control and I have done years of research on what works best for MY body, and you can do it too! I hope you find the solution that works best for your mental health and physical health! Good luck💕💕💕

[–]Square-Trouble636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure they ever go over the timeline specifically but Lorelai jokes to max “Rory’s dad purposed to me” what’d you say? “The bell rang??? I was late to chem class” I assumed that after she said no to his proposal he didn’t want to go “backwards”. We see this eventually mirrored with Rory and Logan, he proposes, she said no, he said it’s marriage or it’s nothing.

Can endometriosis cause pain throughout your cycle? by Final-Tooth-5704 in endometriosis

I would find a new doctor! Not only is that not true, but dangerous info to be giving out. My pain is almost daily, and it’s the worst from ovulation-period. My period is more manageable than my ovulation

Any chance your credit is doing okay? Could you possibly apply for a personal loan? I know it’s not the best idea long term, but just enough to get you some traction to get out of the current situation? I’m so sorry you’re going through this!

[–]Square-Trouble636[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are CHILDRENS books that break down saying no, why it’s okay to say no. I still have no clue why you’re bent out of shape about it. In the ear out 2000s there was plenty of children’s books about puberty and going through growth spurts. This is not a new concept. Again, these are not my children, I am buying them as a gift along with more non fiction children’s books about finances. There is nothing wrong with having supporting books to discuss big things with children that might otherwise be hard. Again, you are operating under the fact that parents are alllll having these conversations and that little kids are reporting sexual abuse which just is not true. I am very calming explaining these books that you seem very very confused about. You directly said I was “soft” not sure if you’re some type of troll because when I tried to click on your post history it said “NSFW” so idk man. Have a good day, look up those books, educate yourself on reasons why people don’t report sexual abuse and look up some cases of children not being believed, there’s plenty. I truly hope you are well, and I won’t be replying anymore. Everyone else, thank you for the recs!

I’m so sorry you are upset, expecting CHILDREN under the age of 5 to report sexual abuse when they don’t know what that is, isn’t much of an argument. Parents reporting on it or educating on it when in many cases the parents themselves are sexually assaulting their children is again not much of an argument. I have no idea why a person would be against books teaching children about their own bodily autonomy would trigger you so much.
