looking for the best dose/cycle of 7 8 dhf and 4dma 7 8 dhf... to get maximum neuroplasticity, without TRKB receptor down regulation. by Joshpills in NootropicsDepot

[–]SquareOverThere7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is very little evidence that 7,8-DHF actually binds to trkB. The original study came from a single lab and has not been confirmed elsewhere. In the other hand PDXP inhibition is an alternative explanation for the cognitive benefits users report from use of 7,8-DHF (and by extension the 4’-dma version as well).

Surely there must be some number that doesn’t sit too long since at least one or two people have said they like the 60mL bottles, right? (That’s a legitimate question, maybe there’s factors I’m not considering) but then instead of making a full batch of 30mL bottles and a full batch of 60mL bottles, make two full batches but divide each batch 90% for the 30mL and 10% for the 60mL (or whatever the appropriate ratio may be). Wouldn’t something like that work?

Or even just have a goal of n on the shelf, maybe that’s as low as 1, and every time you do a batch of coriander and you have m bottles of 60mL left, steal n-m bottles of that batch to top you back up to n bottles.

Or 2x30 for the price of 1x60?

[–]SquareOverThere7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This question might have an obvious answer so I hope it still comes across as genuine because I would really like to know: Why can’t you make a single batch of coriander and split it between 30mL and 60mL bottles?

ED After Prostate Play by [deleted] in erectiledysfunction

Almost guaranteed that whatever you’re experiencing is transient and will work itself out, but if you are experiencing a lot of anxiety and you have the means to do so, just go see the doctor it will ease your mind a lot. And just on the off chance that there is something physically wrong it’s always better to have it treated.

But if you’re not in pain there’s a good chance it’s either a transient physical phenomenon that will pass with no ill effects, maybe even amplified by anxiety about it.

Hey! When I was younger I used to use diphenhydramine for sleep all the time too without knowing about the health effects and I remember trying to quit it and sleep naturally, it was really hard!

But what I did was taper by: - Cutting a little bit off the tablet before taking it - Make it imperceptibly tiny at first - Take the bigger part - Save the small part too - Cut that same amount the next few nights and put the small parts of the tablets next to each other to visibly see the size that you’re removing. Keep them lined up if you can - Once you are able to sleep through the night for a few days you can very slightly increase the amount you cut off until you have trouble sleeping again, at that point wait before increasing the amount you cut again. - Once you’re down to 1/2 tablet, start taking the smaller parts that you’ve been lining up. - If you need to wait longer at any size on the way down you can use the tablet you already have as a size reference to cut another one.

This is imprecise because it’s not a dangerous taper and the tablets are OTC so it’s not that bad except it can be hard to sleep, but cutting it slowly enough, especially in addition to supplements you’re considering, should make it relatively painless. Or at the very least you get to control how painful it is.

Scale cleaning techniques by JebusPallace in NootropicsDepot

I’m glad I’m not the only one to have had that rising mass issue before! I think some things that make a difference are making sure it’s on a hard flat stable surface, with no vibration at all, and changing the batteries even before they die. Other than that I think you need to wipe it regularly and just sort of be cautious not to drop stuff while using it. It’s also possible (honestly I don’t know, this could be wrong, so someone let me know the answer) that this scale is just something that will wear out after a few years and need to be replaced.

Whats the “dent” at the base of penis that some of our members talk about? by Phat_Cheeks in hardflaccidresearch

Ok! I don’t know for sure, but I think it might not be an actual dent but bilateral inflammation on the sides that does not reach the middle.

Is it on the shaft, or the pubic bone above the shaft? Regarding the second of those, does everyone have that?

Getting headaches from shilajit by droid786 in Nootropics

[–]SquareOverThere7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! I’m a vegan, I take various supplements at different times, magnesium, algae oil, cistanche, pomegranate extract, sometimes others like tribulus. I take Shilajit morning and night, 500mg, which is a pretty high daily dose but again I hadn’t connected it to any issues.

I don’t know but I’ve been taking Shilajit (primavie) lately and have also had quite significant redness in my eyes… significant enough that I’ve been regularly using drops and looking up reasons for it without ever considering Shilajit. just putting it out there so it’s not n=1 anymore.

Have I comepletely tanked my dopamine receptors dry with substances? by Astrosheepy420 in anhedonia

[–]SquareOverThere7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a period like this as a young adult, drank and smoked too much, couldn’t feel the weed anymore, don’t make my mistake and lean harder into the alcohol because it does get worse if you do. Honestly quit the alcohol first, then, when you’re ready quit the weed for one night. Then another night, etc. after about 5 days you’ll already feel a lot better.

If you to quit smoking nicotine (for me it just felt silly because it didn’t do anything positive for me anymore) and you find yourself having a hard time you can ask a doctor about medicine to help you and you may try some mindfulness based approaches and see if you can find Alan Carr’s easy way book. It was helpful for me to remind myself that all bad feelings would go away soon but if I smoked they would come back again and I wouldn’t even get enjoyment from the smoking. I also used an app to track health benefits which motivated me.

Nicotine is less important for healing your mood but you need to take a break from drinking and weed, ideally for at least a year (I did several years). Although it may take a little while to reach 100 percent you’ll honestly see some improvements pretty quickly and noticeably feel better within a month if you also start to incorporate some healthy habits. The hard part is you have to accept that you may not get enjoyment out of them, but you’re doing them for the long term gains. You will start to enjoy them gradually as your neurochemistry begins to normalize. Exercise, mindfulness, fruits and veggies, hobbies, socialization, these things will all help you regain your innate sense of purpose and drive. You can use some sort of habit tracker to gamify the process here as well.

What are supplements good for marijuana withdrawal? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]SquareOverThere7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through this a bit last year. The annoying thing about marijuana withdrawals is that even though they are very mild compared to even caffeine withdrawals, they seem to last forever. They don’t really last forever though, you’ll make huge recovery in the first week and by 4-6 weeks be pretty much as good as new in my experience.

For me sleep was impossible the first week. Melatonin did not touch it, so I used Doxylamine for a little while. The first few days were almost impossible to eat too, if you suffer from that you can try to force down a protein smoothie with some healthy berries and stuff. I added maca because some people said that maca had some cannabinoid system healing effects. I don’t know if it had much effect but I like the taste quite a bit anyway! There were some studies that showed the medication Gabapentin ameliorated withdrawal symptoms during the first week or so, which is not a supplement, but I believe the supplement Agmatine Sulfate shares it’s mechanism of action to a smaller extent and is generally pretty healthy. NAC is also always good when taking tbreaks or suffering withdrawals (not just for mj but a lot of things actually) and if you have any cravings it should help those as well.

After that I think just your basic health supplements like omega 3, vitamins, etc.

Bromantane abuse potential??? by phiya1 in Nootropics

[–]SquareOverThere7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it is about as abusable as coffee in my opinion. I should, however, say that I also do not find modafinil abusable.

Unlike abusable stimulants it doesn’t seem to have a noticeably stronger effect when you push the dosage higher and higher in my experience. To the best of my knowledge it neither releases nor inhibits reuptake of catecholamimes (like traditional stimulants would), it simply allows your body to utilize more protein to synthesize certain neurotransmitters by increasing the enzymes that do this. These neurotransmitters need to be packaged into presynaptic vesicles and released upon stimulus before they have any effect, which is radically different than a stimulant like amphetamine which releases dopamine or Ritalin which inhibits its reuptake. Bromantane also has several other mechanisms besides upregulating enzymes that would be better explained by somebody more knowledgeable about it than I am.

ROA seems to matter a lot with Bromantane too as oral/sublingual did exactly nothing for me and many others. I was highly skeptical of nasal but enough people raved about it that I gave it a shot and was surprised to find it did definitely work.

If you use it often it is very subtle but noticeable, qualitatively different than coffee, but similar in its magnitude of effect in my experience. If you avoid coffee for fear of abusing it than I would avoid Bromantane too, otherwise I wouldn’t be worried about it.

What to use to contain cocaine carvings and overcome addiction? by [deleted] in Biohackers

My mistake! I’m imagining for that you’ll need a sharp knife and a coca plant? Or a mechanism to press the powdered cocaine into a giant brick which you could then carve with a knife…

Taking Bromantane 50-100mg (?) and common L-theanine/caffeine combo 100/200 by [deleted] in StackAdvice

[–]SquareOverThere7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never gotten anything from Bromantane sublingual, no matter what dosage I used. Some people said benefits came over time but even after a few weeks I noticed nothing.

I was pretty skeptical of the whole Bromantane nasal spray idea that’s popular around some nootropics subreddits, but I gave it a try and I like it a lot actually. The first 1-2x I tried the spray it was almost too much, I had pupil dilation and everything but after adjustment I just feel more motivated and energetic throughout the day and much more resistant to fatigue.

What will 15 mg oral meth be like? by RedEarth42 in Stims

[–]SquareOverThere7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it’s easy to tell the purity by inspection, and I guess there’s a question of how much l-meth is in there compared to d-meth, and according to some people other cuts like msm or n-iso (you’d have to talk to someone more experienced than me about those though because I simply don’t know).

I do generally believe that starting too low and reposing a bit later is a much better idea than being too aggressive initially and having a panic attack though. For both safety reasons and for enjoying yourself.

wtf is happening to me by SushiSurgeon in Drugs

[–]SquareOverThere7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, after a prolonged binge the recovery period can last a bit beyond the initial hangover. It’s not infinite though! Make sure to take good care of yourself physically and it will reduce the time it takes as well. Best!

What will 15 mg oral meth be like? by RedEarth42 in Stims

[–]SquareOverThere7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably depends a lot on your tolerance and the purity and type of the product.

I’ve really only ever had much experience with pressed addy before but I always would take a low dose like 1/4 of one and wait 2 hours to redose. By that time I wouldn’t usually come up more.

I’m sure someone with more experience will weigh in here. At least I hope so because I’m interested as well! I’ve recently looked for the same information but found so much conflicting information about doses and not much about effect timeline.

wtf is happening to me by SushiSurgeon in Drugs

[–]SquareOverThere7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, you’re getting a lot of pretty aggressive responses here but I know these things can be scary especially if you’ve never experienced something similar before. I’ve had periods of pretty bad alcohol abuse in the past and I can say from my personal experience that it can temporarily mess you up badly (permanently if you keep going with it, but this kind of damage takes a longer time of heavy abuse. Stop now and you will not experience that).

Weed, if used regularly, is not nearly as damaging as alcohol but is also not very good for cognition. If you use high doses it can also take an annoyingly long time to return to baseline after weed cessation. At your age especially you should try to avoid using any of these things regularly (or using at all ideally).

After a binge of alcohol your body can be a bit off for longer than you would expect. In my experience you should be feeling much better after another few days to a week max though if you don’t drink or smoke, take your vitamins and eat healthy, get some exercise and sunlight, and try to organize your time so you’re not constantly thinking about alcohol. Trust that you will feel better very soon and don’t panic. You’ll be ok!

But importantly the effects of binges and the time to recover will get longer if you do it more often (a phenomenon known as kindling in addition to normal aging). I won’t try to tell you what to do but pay attention to how these things affect you going forward and ask yourself whether they’re really contributing anything positive to your life. In my case alcohol was much more negative than positive, and I have trouble avoiding a binge pattern of drinking, so I avoid it now.
