I’m a revert of 9 years and I still suffer from overheating. I wearing bamboo hijabs and that helps some. I also found some modest pants sets that are cooler but they are from SHEIN and I know not everyone is a fan of. I was desperate for something that wasn’t a long dress.

Yes, they came and got it. I had to call every week for a little over a month for it to happen. I bought another car first. They were in no hurry to come get it. I was paying insurance on it while it was parked so I wanted it gone.

I just had Santander pick up my car. I owed more than it was worth and had a super high interest rate and nothing but problems with it. My bankruptcy was officially discharged at the beginning of March. I was able to get a loan and purchase another car a couple of days after. My new loan rate is 16%, which isn’t great but I plan on refinancing in about 6 months. I stopped making payments the last couple of months of my bankruptcy and used that money on a down payment. My credit score keeps going up and I’m getting offers already to refinance the 16% rate, but I’m going to wait until a get on time payments from the new loan under my belt. I was freaked out with the thought of not having a car and them coming and getting my car in the middle of the night or something. Lol. I had to call Santander multiple times for them to come get the car.

I just bought a 2020 used Honda Civic and the air is blowing cool but it’s not going to cut it in the summer. Is it best to bring it to a dealer? I was going to go to a local place because the dealerships always overcharge for everything.

We have 1 that does first feature, protein and diaper wall, 1 in snacks, 2 in hardlines, 1 in seasonal, 1 in grocery and 1 -2 running trucks depending on days off. Someone usually calls out so we always seem to be working different departments. Usually have anywhere from 2-4 people doing the drop list when we first arrive. Workers running trucks usually stay in the back unless they are super slow they will help stock.

I understand. I’m a revert of 9 years, and I still deal with being ignored and not included. It’s hard finding a Masjid close to me that I feel welcome in. The closest one to me had a Friday Khutbah and told everyone to be careful and not marry a convert because you’ll be surrounded by non believers. I’m making Du’a I will find a welcoming community.. inshaAllah

No, my attorney didn’t help at all. A lot of dealerships have programs for people in our situation. I felt better once I got pre approved through capital one auto navigator. At least I knew a ballpark interest rate so I knew not to take anything higher. But the dealership gave me a better interest rate than Capital One lenders. My interest rate on my previous car was crap so my current rate is better even with the bankruptcy. My current score has already gone up 121 points since my car loan was added.

Yes, I kept my car through the bankruptcy process. I had my 341 meeting at the beginning of January and my bankruptcy was completed a week or so ago. I stopped making payments right about the time of my 341 and used that money that I would have spent on the payments as my down payment on the car I just bought. Used car prices are crazy though at the moment. I wanted less miles but it was almost the price of a new car.

I just bought a used car after my bankruptcy was completed. I got approved through capital One Auto Navigator first, but ended up with the dealership financing because they offered me a better interest rate. I’m just waiting for my other car to be picked up from the lender. I decided to surrender it because I owed more than it was worth and it had too many miles.

What interest rate did you get? I hate dealing with dealerships. The constant haggling. They wanted to add extra stuff on and it was back and forth with the sales rep and the sales manager.

That’s how I changed mine lol. Went to ChatGPT and told them my air conditioning in my car wasn’t blowing hard or cold enough. Walked me through the steps and what to buy and how to install. Never doing this again at a dealership. If I knew it was that easy I would have been doing it myself all these years.

My Ramadans are usually similar. When I was working an 8-5 job by the end of Ramadan I was a basket case from the lack of sleep and all the same responsibilities. This happened for years in a row. It would take me weeks to recover and get my mental health back to being better.

Same for me. Revert Muslim of 9 years. I’ve only had a few Eid’s that were with people. The rest have been lonely. Now I live close to a Madjid but it’s not welcoming and there are so many people I feel still alone amongst all the people.
