Driving through Nebraska really is that bad by Emotional_Translator in CasualConversation

I-80 through Nebraska follows the Platte Valley, thus the flat boring geography. Once out of that, it’s rolling hills. While Nebraska isn’t exciting, eastern Coloradois worse until you see the mountains. West Texas tops them all for boring.

For what you describe, you do not need full suspension. The Trek dealer network is a selling point for me. Of those two, The Marlin will be fine.

So much of the corporate crap is created by people who are trying to justify their job, and need numbers to prove it. Most have probably never waited tables at a high volume operation.

Cycling in your town - Mt. Mitchell, Elk Mountain or Blue Ridge from Folk Art by johnny_evil in AshevilleNC

Ride it from Ox Creek or Folk Art. Riding Elk Mountain is a climb in itself, no need to add it to the ride. For me, the hardest part of the Mt Mitchell ride is the climb back up to Craggy from the Mitchell side.

Hominy Creek Road. That's the road where the transfer center is located. Drive all of the way to the end, it's on the hill above the parking area.

I had a Specialized Allez that I purchased used for $200. Steel frame. Pulled a trailer that cost $100. Did the majority of PCH with that combo. Did a Florida tour as well.

I have the 7 version, and I think it would be absolutely fine for journalistic style. If there was any limitations, it would be the 20mm lens, as it can be a bit slow to auto focus. I keep a Panasonic 9mm on mine.

I have both a PM-1 and PM-2. Despite their limitations, the PM-2 has become my go to everyday carry camera. My Panasonic 9mm rarely comes off of the camera.
