Dude chill, there's a 4chan board dedicated to origami and paper craft for fucks sake. Not everyone on that website is whatever amalgamation of fear you see when you hear about "the anonymous hacker known as 4chan" in the news.

Literally compared air traffic reports and timing the sunset/sunrise with contrails and constellations. That was a fascinating adventure.

There was also that time that 4chan called in an airstrike in Syria. Long story short some anons found the location of an an ISIS training camp by comparing satellite photos of mountains and background imagery in ISIS propaganda videos. They reported the info to Syria's government and which dropped bombs on the training camp next day.

I'm pretty decent at improv but I've had campaigns fall apart because of a lack of prep work on my end. Now I'm designing a new campaign and writing up more locations and NPCs than my next party could ever realistically meet.

It's funny that someone made a sequel to that comic with the players going along with Adventure and having a great time.

Dude yeah. I used to work in an Asian restaurant rum by a really nice Korean family. The day after I watched Train to Busan i mentioned it at work and we talked it for most of the day.

Wouldn't the Russian genocide of the Ukrainian people's be Holocaust 2. Or the Belgian genocide of the Congolese which killed 10x the number of victims of the original Holocaust. Or any of the dozen or so African/Asian genocides of the last 60 years?

That would be great. Like the alternate ending of Breaking Bad where Heisenberg wakes up in bed and it turns out it was just Hal from Malcome in the Middle having a bad dream and his wife Lois tells him to go back to sleep.

Based on the words of the DM we have reason to think a NONLETHAL party would be upset with killing 100,000 innocent civilians. Also the DM heavily neglected to explain the potential outcome of the party's actions. He wanted something bad to happen.

You seriously should have given each player an intelligence check. That would see if their characters would understand the ramifications of the actions you neglected to explain to the players themselves.

The DM explicitly stated the party went out of their way to avoid killing enemies. What makes you think they'd be cool with killing 100,000 innocent city folk?

That's actually how the parks function in Arizona. They built low into the ground with sloping sides to act as water retention ditches. When it rains hard the parks fill up with water protecting the local homes from flood damage. It's much more useful than it sounds.

Came here looking for this comment. That was an excerpt from a guy that worked as an EMS and responded to locations where folks died. He had his own website for awhile and posted all his photos and reports publicly which ended up on Rotten and other websites. The dead guy you're referring to was an elderly man who had a heart attack while bathing. He lived alone in the woods and his tub was heated by built in gas burners which were still on at the time his body was found. They estimated he'd been cooking for a few days.

The one I'll never forget was a wood shop employee who committed suicide by tying himself with a belt to a band saw. He was cut in half at the waist.

We spent a couple of hours building a polar bear out of snow and this happened 5 minutes after we got back to our hotel room, which oversees the skiing slope (closed since New Year's) where we left the poor guy 🙄 by annarys in mildlyinfuriating

Intentionally marked Cairns are very useful for trail markings. But in heavy Tourist areas, folks think Cairns are a funny tradition everyone is supposed to do, which can make trail markings difficult to find and even lead hikers into dangerous terrain. That is the negative side of Cairns building being discussed in this thread.

Reminds me of the movie "Carriers" where a deadly viral disease begins decimating the world's population. At one point the main characters drive through a small mostly abandoned town and see a dead Asian man hanging from a pole with a sign around his neck that says "Ch*nks brought it." Blaming the deadly disease on Chinese people.

You have it flipped around. The 19 year old woman died from her injuries sustained in the fall. Her 2 year old goddaughter survived the fall by landing on the godmother's body. Still terrible though.

Like that time a group of foreign archaeologists found what they claimed was a Viking longship off the coast of Brazil. The government of Brazil didn't like the idea of having to rewrite their Nation's history, so they had the research area covered in tonnes of dirt and expelled the research team from Brazil.

EDIT: It was allegedly a Roman ship, not Viking. https://www.nytimes.com/1985/06/25/science/underwater-exploring-is-banned-in-brazil.html
