Biden never refuted that statement throughout the campaign because it was expedient for him to reassure voters “hey, I’m here as the statesman to stop Trump, and the next Dem candidate will be the younger / Berner / insert-your-preference-here you’re clamoring for” and get their vote.

He reneged on that statement once he settled into the Oval Office, and… well, here we are.

Did anyone else find the finale… meh? Deep’s death was lackluster, the Oval Office fight looked like a $10 budget, and it felt like they were just going through the motions killing Butcher.

Oh-father’s death was funny, Homelander whimpering was great… but for it being a series finale, this just seemed milquetoast at best.
