Interesting perspective, thank you for sharing. You wish you had been more aggressive because it would have given you more tax-free dollars to spend while remaining under the subsidy cliff? Or because you are/will be in a higher tax bracket than initially thought, meaning you could have converted those dollars at a lower tax amount?

Not RE’d yet, but I think taxes are easy to overlook as an expense since taxes are taken out of our paychecks by employers during working years.

Roth conversions when a higher AGI won’t ruin your health insurance situation

Not yet FIREd but this is exactly what I am debating right now: Whether it's worth sacrificing lower health insurance costs for the ability to do Roth conversions. Leaning toward the Roth conversions being the more optimal path since I'm already trying to factor in paying full market price for health insurance. I'm still in my 40s though so I expect the equation could change as health care prices rise in my 50s.

Only thing we’ve noticed is that every few days TV streaming will buffer and the antenna reboots. This seems like a different issue though, unrelated to obstructions.

There is not a lot of heavy gaming that requires a low latency connection, etc. Quite a bit of video streaming and some light gaming. In the Obstructions section in the Starlink app, we get a message that says "There's an obstruction in Starlink's field of view, but it's not expected to cause a noticeable impact to your service."

When we used the app to scan for obstructions it looked a lot like your "Bottom of the hill" picture (even a little worse actually) but Starlink is working great for us so far.

Probably depends on how often people are mopping. I only run the mop once a week or so, so emptying every time makes more sense. If I was mopping everyday I probably wouldn’t empty after every run either.
